In this instance I quite like Doomie's turn of phrase.

For one thing, it's far more poet than the mundane 'where' but, in seeing 'eye to eye' with him in this instance, I'll have to be careful otherwise he'll be castigating me as a 'licker' ....or some other such florid description, as is his wont.

I too admit to a certain pulchritude in his turn of phrase. It was the lack of wit I objected to.
