C'mon city!

Should easily be good enough to win today. Tough opener but a solid 2-0 is the order of the day

I'd have started Milner and think today could be tough for Fernando but he'll have to get used to the league soon enough.

Clichy at right back could be risk, but at least no Nastasic! He's not even on the bench - would be great if that means he is to be sold!

Great attacking options for us today though, and we should cause Newcastle plenty of problems.

Come on City!

I'm no fan of Nastasic but he is much more experienced than Boyata. Either he's injured or that is a big slap round the face from the Count ; a wake up call or a 'goodbye'.

It's a better team than I expected.

I'm not too worried about Clichy at RB too, it's our only option for today.
It's ok to put Kompany and MDM back into the team ( not saying that I expected both) but a Fullback shouldn't play unless fully fit.

My worries are frailty on the flanks, will Yaya put in a shift when they have the ball or leave it all to Fernando and will Vinny and MDM be a bit lacking in sharpness having had no practice match at all. Still a stronger side than started at Wembley with our CBs and Silva. Fancy a goal or two from Jovetic. Good to see Fernandinho and Aguero on the bench. We might need them.

Manuel mentioned that Sagna and Mangala weren't with the squad but no mention of Nastasic. I think he's off at a decent price. What is it with Sagna though? Surely he should be preferred to Clichy at Right Back otherwise why sign him?

Would be happier with Milner ahead of Nasri. Don't think Nasri has the bottle sometimes in away games.

That is one strong fucking team and if they're upto the required fitness standard I see an easy win.

But why, tell me, have Sky made picking Joe Hart a big thing? Joe was always going to be chosen with Willy pushing him for the place. The question should have been something about our 2 CB pairings having their 1st run-out.

Looking for a story from nothing just because he's English.

All about training & fitness surely ? If Sagna is not upto speed with either, best not to play him. Clichy was atrocious v Arsenal but he should know pretty well how our back 4 works & where he's supposed to be stood, wheras Sagna has barely had a look.

Manuel probably prefers Clichy as he not only has been here and is familiar with the squad and system, but he's played in preseason at RB. Sagna hasn't played with the squad and has only had a little bit of training. Zaba hasn't been back long either but he's been at the club so thats prob why he's on the bench over Sagna.

Martin is the only one who has been rushed back and thats because Pellegrini has no trust in Nasti or Boyata to start and Mangala isn't fit enough or familiar enough.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Salako wanking over Newcastle's new signings ' I think Newcastle are in with a real chance today' The bias everywhere is unbelievable.

If Clichy is in poorer physical shape than Zaba who played in the World Cup final it's a pretty poor show imo.
