Ah didn't know Cole had gone on loan. That's great. He should get games there - if it goes well it'd be nice to see him move to a bigger team for the rest of the seaosn.

The new one there is Devante Cole to Barnstoneworth.

https://www.clubcall.com/barnsley/cole- ... 36843.html

Celtic play Maribor Wed night & Lille play Porto.

So Denayer & Lopes should be in action on tv in variuos countries.

Delighted he's in a position to get games. Fofana needs the same quickly imo.

Ok cheers, I'll stick him in there as he does seem to be a bit higher rated than some of the other many African lads we kind of signed but have never seen.

Can't sign him until October, when he turns 18; African rules.

NYC are interested but they don't start 'til next year. Would have to get an 'exceptional talent' work permit for both him & Nwakali to play at City as they are not full internationals.

Can't see that being a problem re Iheanacho, as he is basically Pele at 17, but getting two through may be difficult in the short term. Both would walk into our EDS no problem though. I suppose if the Sheikh phones 'Call Me Dave' it will get fixed.

What's the story with Cole, Ted? I hear he's almost there as far as being good enough for the PL, but not close as far as getting into our squad.

African rules? Seems odd.

I presumed he wasn't eligible for a UK work permit until he turned 18.

Cole's ridiculously quick, very direct and is improving season on season. Put it this way, I reckon he'd do the job that Sinclair's meant to do better than he currently does. PL is probably too much for him at this stage, but he definitely wouldn't be a bad impact player if we needed him. That won't happen though with our squad depth so the best thing for him is to go out loan and get some games. He could develop into an effective squad player with a bit of luck.

No problem. I get the impression that the likes of Ted and Doug know more about him than I do though, but i do try and keep up with as much as I can. I'm almost certain he'll end up in the premier league at some point - just hope its with us. If not he'll probably make his way back over a few years like the likes of Trippier did.

Would of rather Zucclini with sunderland in the premier league. Valencia have a couple of Scot/English coaches i wonder was this as a factor?

There was talk of a half season loan for Zuculini to Sunderland but it fell apart. Deportivo wanted him but he preferred Valencia and I think the Club get a nice loan fee. Hopefully he'll be banging on the door for a place in the first team squad next season.

It wasn't possible under PL rules, can't loan to another PL club in the same window that we acquired his registration.

I would agree with that but I have no idea how good he could become. Imo it depends on how he interacts with better players if he gets the chance. If he is on their wavelength then there is no limit to how far he can go. Skill & pace are not a problem. If he can't read their game, then off he goes to Stoke or Hull.

I imagine he will look pretty good in our side, if he is brought in at the right time, in a balanced team.
