I see that Barca will be banned from signing any players in the next two transfer windows, they can buy up players now though and loan them out and bring them back next season
FARCICAL
Barcelona transfer ban stays in place
Barcelona will be unable to sign players until January 2016 once the current transfer window shuts after world governing body Fifa rejected the club's appeal against a transfer ban.
The Spaniards were given the 14-month ban after being found to have breached rules on signing international players under the age of 18.
It was suspended as they appealed, allowing them to sign Luis Suarez.
And the ban will start in the next transfer window, early next year.
It means their summer acquisitions will be unaffected and the Catalan club could, if they wanted, sign more players before the current transfer window ends on 31 August.

2016.
Wow. That is a huge amount of time, however, their use to promote a lot of players in their squad and all might be good to go.

not really, it just means they cannot sign anyone next year, not that they will need to if they get a couple of decent players and loan them out now.

So they've given Barca just enough time to sign everyone they need to sign & then...given them a bit longer, so they can sign anyone else they fancy signing, in case they forgot to sign anyone.
Then next season, when they don't need to sign anyone, they won't be able to sign anyone.

Well thank god, it might have been an inconvenience otherwise.

Let's just hope that their squad gets decimated by injuries between now and Jan 2016 then

They have done what all clubs would have done appealed it. Bought some time to buy big in the last window available to them. Clever IMO.

thats not the point Hazy, why couldnt UEFA do what FIFA did with the suarez ban, say the ban stays in place until the appeal is heard.
This is the issue, nothing clever about it, it stinks!

Ha ha ha, did anybody think it could happen any other way? Any other team outside of the G14 would have been kicked out of the CL as well but no, not the likes of Barca.
UEFA: 'Take that you bastards, you're not signing anybody you cheating little fucks!'
Barca: 'Excuse fucking me, who the fuck are you talking to! Now this is what's going to happen ............'
Absolute piss-take and if there was any clear evidence that the elite do what they want, this is it.

Look through it, it was a deal brokered by Barca, who are now taking it to CAS as they think they have the area of youth recruitment to a higher standard than Fifa rules set. I would expect us to do the same, buy time buy players and take the medicine when it suits you. Barca are far to important to be pissed about. Fifa have done well to stick to there guns and see it through. This might end up like the Bosman case, Barca might just blow Fifa out of the water, but I doubt it.

Not saying I agree with Barcelona getting the ban lifted while they appealed. But UEFA has already set the precedent for clubs that appeal a transfer ban. Same thing happened with Chelsea a few years ago. They appealed and the transfer ban was lifted during before their case was heard.

A precedent being set does not mean it remains that way forever. I know there is always the argument to say that its happened that way for them, so why not us? However, it should be a very hard rule, if you have broken the rules, you get punished. If you appeal, the punishment remains until that appeal is heard and overturned. It will stop frivolous appeals to circumvent punishments, which is what Barcelona have done.

Anyway, UEFA don't seem to set much store on precedents, judging by the recent Celtic fiasco

Didn't the last case get kicked out but because the 1st leg had already taken place they could no longer get in the comp. This time, the case is heard early, before the CL qualifier is played and the case is upheld.
Seems they don't take precedence into account and make the rules up as they go along. Sound familiar?

This. A very convenient lifting of the ban so whilst a frivolous appeal is lodged, they rush out and sign a shedload, then when it is in place they get an 11 day advance window warning for a final trolley dash. I doubt another club who isn't part of the cartel, would be granted such favours.
This business, the Neymar transfer, the signing of Suarez merely shows they aren't more than a club - they are just another dirty business full of crooked bastards with their snouts in the trough.

Rumour is they're going all out for Koke now and will loan him back to Atletico Madrid until next summer!
So where's the punishment?
If they were going to lift the ban (pending the appeal) they should've put transfer restrictions in place!

From Sunday League to the very top of the game, Bans are manipulated. Also the biggest teams take the piss, Ferguson should have had a life time touchline ban for his abuse of officals, Barca have played the game and with CAS they are as with Suarez taking the PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, thats life in football
