More good news. There's been so much if it lately the inherent Cityitis in me is preparing for some bad news!

Excellent news and thoroughly deserved after last seasons contribution.

Been a great summer of new signings and contract extensions!

Excellent.

Well deserved. I think the Count is right; he's becoming a different player.

So crazy that most people wanted him sold under Mancini but now we're happy he signed a new deal.
Huge turnaround under Pellegrini, just like with Aleks

Most people wanted him sold when he missed that open net against Stoke.
He's our most consistent striker in terms of fitness, he scores crucial goals and we're a stronger team with him in it.

Best thing is that this players know each other, model (AC Milan ). Bring class and keep them long time until they know how they breath.( course i think of Pirio, Seedorf , Kaka, Shevchenko , Maldini , Nesta, Gattuso,ect..).We have players who are City players. We have a backbone a team and i like that team , only Hart and Milner more. Please do not let Milner go .

He's a much improved player even from as recently as last Christmas. Well pleased.

It's brilliant that all the top players want to say. Says a huge amount about the manager and his philosophy.
Well done MP & Co.

I wonder if all these new contracts include buy out clauses and if so how that might impact on FFP.

Say you buy a player for £20m and then after a few years you decide he is worth £40m so you give him a new contract but include a buyout clause for £45m (the extra 5m to cover fees and bonuses etc). Then you have an asset worth £45m but you only paid £20m for it. Normally a business would not revalue its appreciating assets unless they were selling the business because the profit would result in a tax liability but as MCFC are not making a profit overall that is not the issue and when we do the accrued losses for the last few years will mean it is a while before the owners are writing out a cheque for corporation tax!

Ia'm not an accountant but, to the uninitiated such as myself, this sounds interestingly plausible.

If this is valid and viable, as soon as he found out about it, the Fat Frenchman would probably choke on his frog's legs as, potentially it could blow FFP apart.

However, it would be nice if someone with accounting knowledge on here could advise and probably bring us back down to earth.

Lol he always has a bit of that in him but I'm glad he's our Dzonkey. As already mentioned he's had a new lease of life under Pellegrini, different player now.
