If Yaya plays he needs to smash Matic. If i remember correctly Matic got the better of Yaya last season in one of the matchups.
I anticipate Jose playing Cesc, Matic, and Ramires/Mikel in CM to try and keep it tight so bossing midfield will be crucial.

Our midfield is a huge concern ahead of Chelsea. Not sure how we would have coped in recent games without the massive work rate Fernandinho has been putting in.If Yaya produces another lazy showing on the weekend we will be in big trouble.

I think if he plays Cesc Matic and Ramirez together that we'll rip them a new one.

Chelsea have now won away at City more than times any other club in Premier League history.
Hasn't been a draw in this fixture at City since 1994.

gonna be a tense match.

Edin has a back problem but Manuel said at yesterday's presser that he'd be OK. Has there been a change?

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.

Did MP update, yesterday, on the Fernando situation?

Sure Pellegrini said he 'thinks' he should be okay.

Bench and let Serg start.

Thin Zaba and Komps will be well up for this and will get Yaya firing on all cylinders. We need these points at this stage in season. Drop off anymore and we got a big hill to climb!

It will be very interesting to see how good this Chelsea side really are. Their opponents thus far have not been up to much and Swansea gave their midfield a proper run around for the first 45 mins, ok they did turn it around eventually. I suspect that they will not live up to the hype currently surrounding them. City 3-1 for me (Aguero 2, Nasri) !!!

On an unrelated note, does anyone think that Negredo was allowed to leave because the Ihenacho signing is a done deal....he is 18 on 3rd of October, and will be immediately drafted into the first team squad. He looks the real deal to me !

I think Negredo was absolutely desperate to leave, so would have gone at that price even if we only had Darius Vassell available.

I agree about Iheanacho but we have to get him a work permit.

I see Greg Dyke is desperately trying to close off our potential supply line of African talent, so we need to make sure we get Iheanacho through before his influence makes getting a work permit close to impossible.

We then need to consider the possible effect on us getting any more work permits for other kids in the near future if we immediately loan him out & don't use him.

Fernando is still injured but should be ok in a week. He was training yesterday, albeit on his own with a physio but he looked pretty much ready. No sign of Jojo who was expected to be fit this weekend. I think we have been here before with him.

I just find it strange that we would potentially expose ourselves on the striker front, especially with any injuries without some contingency plan, and the potential signing of Ihenacho is the only contingency I can think of. I understand that Negredo was desperate to go and am very sorry for him going, on top form a great striker !!

Chelsea defense is not good like last season and they play more open but attack is better it s all to our counter, defense and Hart.We need to win this .Aguero and Milner to start Edin and Nasri bench .Is Zabba ok ?And when we will play Mangala ?

oh man. Letting Sergio get like 65-70 min? we're asking for all 3 of our strikers to be injured at once...
