Mangala - In Midfield?

Postby Nick » Sat Sep 20, 2014 8:06 pm

First of all cheers to Wonderwall for sorting my old account on here.

I suggested it in the Chelsea match thread; but does anyone think Mangala could do a defensive midfield job when we are without Fern2?

Not we all know Yaya will not get dropped tommorow.

If he plays, and plays wank. Surely Mangala could partner Fern1 and allow Fern1 to play his normal game??

It has the added benefit of protecting the solid partnership of Komps and Demichs.

This topic reminds me of 'Can Vinnie do a job at centre half' all those years ago..

..Also is it true that fat frank asked not to be in the squad vs chelsea? If so the bookies giving good odds for him to score first (and sky promoting them) are c*nts.

I would like to see Mangala play a few minutes before coming up with a strange notion of playing him in midfield! And 100% definitely it should be Milner there if it's not 2 from Yaya,Fern and Ferna.

I think Mangala will have plenty to do in defence as we are going to be playing two games a week from now on.
