"Fat Frank"

Postby Dubciteh » Thu Sep 25, 2014 7:31 am

Am i the only one that finds this term incredibly annoying? Especially now that he's one of us.

Also there is no one out there that can actually think he really is fat??
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with this......when he was at Chelsea I had no objections to him being called Fat Frank. It isn't as bad as say... Fat Granny Shagger?

But now he is wearing the colours of God's Own Team, I won't refer to him as that and never will again.

He does have quite a round face though
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

I wouldn't worry about it. It's just one of those stupid nicknames that stick because they have a ring to them, e.g. Calamity James.

I doubt very highly that Lampard gets upset by it. The fat cunt.

As long as he keeps scoring goals for us, long may his corpulence continue.......

.......Seriously though, as a footballer, all he has ever done is play his heart out for Chelsea over a lengthy period of time. I've never considered him to be an irritating and obnoxious abomination in the way that, for instance, Shrek merits this accolade and, consequently, I've never felt the need to refer to him as "Fat Frank" (which he definitely isn't).

He seems to be a reasonably sensible and well balanced individual and, now that he's 'one of us', IMHO it would be nicer if he could be awarded a more pleasant 'nom de guerre' by City fans.

I like "Our Frank" like the Morrissey song. Especially since it's not about a bloke called Frank at all.

Looks anorexic stood next to Yaya!

So long as he keeps up this scoring rate call him whatever. It clearly don't bother him.

He's a big fat fucking fatty but he's our big fat fucking fatty.

He was never fat he just has a duck arse that's why he earned the moniker, bit like Yaya, not really much timber on him but has an ample rump.

He did put on a little bit of timber at WHU which got him the name, he is one of those that you just know will struggle to keep the weight off when he finishes playing. Rooney will be bigger than Razor Ruddock!!! FFS I struggle myself :-)

Most of the lads who sit near me call him Fat Frank; my two sons aged 13 and 9 have always called him Fat Frank as that's how they've most often heard him nicknamed when playing for England - nobody takes it seriously, least of all Fat Frank himself and what does he care?

Hes got major dosh in the bank, every medal under the sun, a new life in New York awaiting and Christine Bleakley for indoor sport purposes. I dare say a few Blues nicknaming him Fat Frank causes him any distress.

Now there was a proper tubby. Fat Bob fitted well with Paul Calfs mate, and he looked like a Pub player. Scored a crucial goal to beat Brum in the penultimate game of the season in 1999/2000 but he was still a grade 1 fatty by football standards.

When Michael Johnson made one of his ill fated comeback attempts vs Scunthorpe in 2009, and potted in a beauty, he looked like he spent all summer in Nandos the fat git. In recent years Micah Richards has looked no stranger to a kebab either tbh. I remember having a few beers with some Hamburg fans after the first leg in the Uefa Cup in 2009 and they referred to Richards as "the fat man." and that's back in the days when Micah was actually decent player! .

Looking at him, i think City did another Paddy Vieira/Demichelis move.

Maybe we could keep him until next summer.

that's allegedly in the works. If yr NYCFC you won't be super happy as it would mean the equiv of missing preseason with the new lads, media/market hype, AND the first 2 months of the season....but then again if you've ever seen the Sheik's brother feed someone a "sand-which" then you'll fucking go along with whatever they ask of you.

Forza Fat Frank. I love the smiling, faux-tubby cunt already. He could actually see this as a special goodbye to English football as well and really hit his marks when called upon. As he's showing already. He's playing with Champions and has their respect. I bet that feels a lot different than he felt last year at Chelsea.

cheers
