Yes Vinny fucked up but the basic problem is two in central midfield especially when Yaya is one of the two. Why Pellegrini why? Milner should be playing in the absence of Fernando. It does mean either Dzeko or Aguero doesn't start but there it is. Every time he sets up like this against the better teams it doesn't work. Is he blind, stubborn or what?

sly dig there ... we don't have respect for our opponents the way we line up ... when the scum did it it was imperious confidence.

truth is it is just bad decision making. Trying to stick both aguero and dzeko in, with the sacrifice being to our midfield. should be one of dzeko or aguero up top, milner, fern and yaya in mid ... so that yaya can laze about like he loves ... and we are still covering our defence with people who actually run.

Since the last one

That really was shit though. Knocked about for 3/4 passes, going nowhere until Yaya kicked it out for a Roma throw.

He dragged Kompany out of position by dropping into the hole. Having another midfielder covering that area would make sense, but we somehow always stick with a 4-4-2 with one man strolling in the center.

We need to do what we did in the second half of the last game - bring Milner on so we have Navas and Milner wide and Silva pulling the strings centrally - we're exposed down our left again.

Bad body language all round. Whenever we give the ball away (which is often), it's sulky expressions rather than encouragement. We exude the impression of a team that lacks confidence, as if we're just waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

If we replaced Yaya with Milner and shoved him left we could play a diamond and keep our strikers on.

What happened to our fluent, patient passing around the opposition's penalty area? All I'm seeing tonight are hopeful through balls and silly little floaty lobs hoping for the best.

That was more like it.

They are doubling up on our left, that HAS to mean there is space to exploit when we get the ball back, we should be countering the tits off them but we're not being clever enough.

Ref also owes us 2 other pens now but he doesn't have the balls to.
