Looks like yaya might not be going as they lost to DR Congo 4-3 today. They are level on points with dr congo but a worse GD and both have to play sierra leone and the favourites cameroon.

Even though it would be beneficial to us I wouldn't like to see Yaya miss out on competing for his country. However, the IC seem to be passed that era where they could effectively challenge for top honours so therefore, I wouldn't be too pissed off if they didn't make it.

If Ivory Coast don't qualify I will somehow find the strength to go on.
Knowing our luck they will sneak in via the back door.

You're an inveterate trooper.
I bow to your stoic steadfastness.

Good goal by Yaya though. Another of his man vs schoolboy efforts we saw a couple of times last season.

If they finish level with DR Congo then it's decided on head to head, which I presume means they're out as DR Congo have the away goals on them?

Similar to England a huge amount of talent in the past 10 years and zero to show for it.

There's a half rumour South Africa might step into the breach and host it, although no decisions have yet been made!!!
Also if i were IC player, i wouldn't fancy playing against a team from Sierra Leonne (if it were played on foreign soil as is scheduled). Likewise Guinea are still playing their games which is mad that still means them travelling and potentially spreading it.
IMO, this whole Ebola thing should have been dealt with more quickly by the WHO or the UN.

Finally some good news on the international footie. I'm not hiding the fact I have fingers crossed IC do NOT make it to ACON. (Sorry Yaya but I only care what's best for City)
