Lawro and Degenerate predictions week 8

Its good to be back, it seems like a Loooong time. However, Lawro is as consistent as ever with his predictions this week. He is taking on Roy Ke*ne's autobiography writer and Chelsea fan Roddy Doyle

Man City v Tottenham (12:45 BST)

The way the Euro 2016 qualifiers are now staggered means that clubs get some of their players back so much earlier.

That is not the case for South American players, but even Manchester City's Argentina trio Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis should have been able to train for a couple of days after getting back from China and Hong Kong.
Manchester City will be looking to pick up where they left off before the international ,break, with two away wins that got them back on track.
Tottenham also signed off with a good win to end a tricky run - beating Southampton he is - but they are still lacking goals and I do not see that situation improving at Etihad Stadium.

It will not be as one-sided or open as both meetings between these sides were last season, when City won 6-0 at home and 5-1 away, but if they work hard enough then I still think Manuel Pellegrini's side will take the three points.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0
Roddy's prediction: I think City will win quite comfortably. 3-1

Merson is a little obvious this week as we are playing the team he loves to hate

Man City v Tottenham

I didn’t fancy Tottenham to beat Southampton the other week, but they won and played well. However, this is a major step up to go to Man City. They took a while to break down Aston Villa in their last game, but they keep on probing and probing and never panic. You never see Man City hit the long ball or make bad decisions and they keep going until the end. For that reason I don’t see anything but a Man City win. They are a top team, right up there with Chelsea, and I really fancy them to win this game (and I’m saying that with my football head on… it’s nothing to do with the fact I used to play for Arsenal!)

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0

But what about the beautiful football?

For some reason, and even though we've had a great record of late, I'm not too confident with this one. I know we should beat them but with most of our players having been away on internationals and the midweek CL game, I'm a bit worried that we'll be a bit leggy or have an eye on the next game.

Hope the pair of muppets are correct.
