Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Toure, Clichy, Fernando, Dzeko, Navas, Mangala. Horrid.
Got to question the backroom team when not one player from 50 million looks good. Echoes of 2 years ago.
Got to question Pellegrini when he persists with the Toure/Fernando combination when it clearly doesn't work.

All the talk about being away in Russia tiring us out bla bla is probably tue but it's more a mental thing than physical.Today we started ok with plenty of the ball, half decent passing but once that initial phase took over WHU started to believe and realise if they get the ball forward to their two energetic front men they will cause problems.
Then all it took was awful defending from Clichy and we go one down.I found it amazing Pellers didn't make changes much earlier and even in the first half but he persisted and we were better in the second half but not that much and it still seemed they would be more likel to score than us. Which they did and immediately we changed gear. Jovetic I thought breathed a little life into us without anything really coming off for him but he was a massive difference to Edin and I felt the team recognised that.
Ho we didn't score before Silva did is beyond me but for Kun it was one of those days.He should have had 2 or 3 and on a different day we score 3 or 4 but we didn't deserve it.Far too many players under par today and I wondered if Clichy was actually ill he played so badly!
I am surprised at the stick Yaya is getting. I know he didn't have a great game but I thought he worked quite hard and, like Kun,it was one of those days where things didn't quite work. So Clichy and Edin very poor as was Navas,Kun doing poorly what he usually does well and I think Mangala is really struggling with the premier league when he comes up against awkward energetic players.
So all in all too many players below par but probably the manager will take most of the blame with the players and tactics selected.

I don't know where to start other than echoing most of the comments on here about us being as weak as gnat's piss. Sadly, this season has similarities between this and the 12-13 season and we all know what happened there.
A great point made by one of the previous posters about the poor transfer window activity - I cannot understand how Fernando continually gets himself caught in possession with too many touches and his back to the tackling player. Surely he has to figure out for himself that the pace of the game is higher in England than Portugal and is currently making Javi Garcia look like a world beater. Clichy should never start for us again - useless and being outjumped at the far post was criminal.
All-in-all pretty dire and lacklustre stuff and I think the only way forward is to play Silva behind Aguero with Dzeko to come off the bench if it's a balls into the box salvage job for the last 10 minutes.

Poor performance all round. A few players are getting picked on reputation. We look like we did the season after we won the league under Mancini. I'm not one for knee-jerk reactions or am particularly negative about us generally but we look like we'll do well to win a pot this season (and the league feels like it's gone much like it did when the rags beat us 2-3 the season before last). Lamentable.

At this point, we need to ask ourselves this, well, better yet, the staff and the board should ask: can we really not use the Cakecunt player?
We either: 1. Not use him and risk
2. Use him, hope he will keep somekind of value and sell him to Paris in the winter

Navas - Pace to burn and yet never takes his man on even when there's yards of space behind
Zaba & Clichy - Main job is to stop crosses. Neither of them do it.
Toure - Start playing or fuck off. Lack of attitude is worse than lack of talent.
Fernando - Take the lead out your boots.
Kompany - Shouldn't have been a yellow but after the ref has given it stop giving him excuses to send you off.
The rest - Still guilty of under performing and slack attitude.

its about time the count stopped chopping and changing and realised who is gonna do it in this team and who isn't.Cliche and Navas are simply not good enough. Milner is the man to be relied on anywhere on the pitch, particularly when the going is tough as an idiot would have known it was going to be today. Kolarov will always deliver more than Cliché. Edin needs a rest and should have been off at half time. Navas lacks the bottle for away games. Mangala we have to trust and play simply because he has to learn, though Demichellis is infinitely better at the moment.Once Pellers realised he had to do something we were better. It was one of those games when Wham had a great game plan, fought hard and got the luck they deserved. Nothing dropped for us . Lets face it. We've seen it often enough in the last 4 years. The worry is the lack of spirit which seems to keep resurfacing since the project began, so hard to nail.

are you serious? he came on in ~57th and we did nothing but go 2-0 down until Silva pulled one back out of nowhere.
the subs of Milner and Kolarov are what changed the game, especially the latter.
Jovetic did have that great shot on goal though.

The emphasis of the game changed in our favour when he came on (if not the scoreline). If you couldn't see that then that's your problem.

The first 15 minutes of the 2nd half were a complete waste of time. Plodded about with the same XI that were out of sorts in the first half and never looked like getting back in the game. Absolutely pointless exercise until we changed things up, and unforgivable given we were a goal down.

Oh dear.
Again.
Jovetic changed the way we attacked. He gave the ball away twice, but he should have come on sooner.

What's fernandinho done wrong infinitely better than fernando, our club need to stop putting players in fucking onesies and keeping them on the training ground.
It's pathetic the way we were outplayed and doesn't bode well for next week.

WELL THAT WAS A WASTE OF TIME. other teams have pace and we don't, and why, BECAUSE WE HAVE TO HAVE A FUCKING HUNDRED PASSES AT THE HALFWAY LINE and then not look at a player ur passing to and it ends up with a west ham player, and why did we put the ball out when a west ham player was down in our area, we should of taken it to them, but oh no lets kick the fucking ball out and then they take ages to restart the game, FUCK FUCK FUCK
