Where are the kids?

We should have at least 2 playing in these sort of games (league cup for any posters from the future) - especially given the apparent tiredness of the main squad
It's all well and good making a major investment in da yoofs - but where they be?

As I said, Newcastle play a kid- he scores.
We play Silva- he gets injured.
Perfect game to thrown in a couple of kids and a couple more on the bench. We have to show them they will have chances.
What a waste of an opportunity.

Fuck knows Wooders. Games like tonight are where they should be all hungry and proving themselves and worth in the squad. Newcastle get a goal by a young kid yet we play a strong team and have a major player most likey injured for Derby weekend.

Crackers

Bit of a joke imo. What sort of sign does it send to the youngsters. real shame.

Then again, last season we played Silvas, Toures etc and had a blast at Wembley.
I want more to be there again in march than to see a kid get a run out. So it's not as black and white is it?

But maybe that's just me.

Wembley was great but would you have swapped it for the league?

which kids would you like (apart from Pozo on the bench) who you think might improve on what we have just seen?

Any central midfielder ahead of Fernandinho.

Did I have to? Do I have to this year?
Answer to both is no. If we don't win the lge this year I tell you mate the reason is not gonna be our league cup run

Would they have done any worse than what we've produced so far?
Sometimes you have to throw a kid in there and see how he does.

Love to see the young lads in tonight but no.
Very depressing.

1) no 2) it seems plausible
Not solely going to be the league cup but these boys are tired, with most of the season to go, we have to find a comprise rather than be average in all comps

kids play like they give a fuck.

pozo plays like he has something to prove.

yaya, kolorov, sagna, dzeko, mangala etc etc play like lazy cunts

Sat at home watching it thanking their lucky stars they weren't a part of it.

Doubt they would have made much difference by the sounds of it.

Also probably wondering what they have to do to get a game.

This thread is spot on. Holistic approach and all that. If we are gonna lose to a lower prem second string, at least give the youngsters a run out. Our set up looks all fucking wrong.

If you were manager of man city, six behind in the league, rocking in the chumps, would you have the bottle to play kids, I doubt it. Pellers could be out the door by next Wednesday. Something is eating away at this club and I wish I could spot it, but its a feckin mystery.

controversial guess - but letting egos like yaya and hart do and say what they want, controlling the dressing room despite wank performances?

we need more silvas, agueros - players that are world class but with milners grit. what is the point in squad fillers with average ability and a shit attitue? e.g. sagna, kolorov, etc

Sagna? Seriously? He's a top defender and frankly it's a joke that he's come here to play backup, he would walk into every other team in the league.

Personally I think it's time we tried Sagna at LB. Couldn't possibly be any worse than Clichy and Kolarov atm.
