3 way tie goes to goal difference maybe?

If 3 teams end up on same points, then we lose to cska on h2h but win against rome. Rome win against cska in h2h, so an entire 3 team table is created and the one with highest gd goes through.

Shocking defending by Roma for the equaliser. Free kick from the left and no defender took any responsibility. It seemed to go straight in without any contact.

Possibly, never thought of that. Something would have to be done alright as CSKA would knock us out, we would knock Roma out and Roma would knock CSKA out.

That changes my outlook then.

Gives us the excuse to play for a draw tonight & lose 4-0.

Cheers, makes sense. Not in our hands anymore though which it would have been with a Roma win. Anyway get tonight over with first

Yeah it is, if that's true. Win both & we'll almost certainly go through.

Getting a little ahead of myself here, but could anyone see Bayern rolling over next game to put us out?

If we get a win tonight and a draw in Rome we're through if CSKA lose in Munich which is not that unlikely to be fair. Got to win tonight first though.

Good man Manuel, only option that really gives us chance to bring on new attacking threat later in game given the weakness of our bench. Come on Frank!

They've got Lescott as a studio pundit on ITV - looking very sharp in his suit.

ITV have put it down as 433.

Whatever, it's a nicely balanced side IF Frank is up to the job & If the players actually turn up. If they do the usual, the formation doesn't matter.

Glendon and Pozo on the bench, interesting.

Looking forward to this one but half shitting it to be honest, could really do with seeing a quality City performance in Europe for a change. The idea of Nasri playing just behind Aguero could be interesting, he looked in good shape against Swansea.Lampards European big game experience is a big plus tonight.

Come on City
