Not fit to lace Silvas boots up......doing my head in watching him.

to be fair, who's he going to target with a splitting pass? Dzeko? Milner made a run into space wide on the edge of the box, and Dzeko barely managed to get to the edge of the box by the time the ball was being cleared. If we're playing one striker, why is he not in a position to score. With our team makeup right now, who does Dzeko think he's helping by dropping deep? Is he going to play someone through on goal? who!? No one is making that run.

Lampard's intelligence would probably work well with Dzeko - Dzeko still looks about a match or two away from sharpness just now so him as a decoy and Lampard going on ahead might be what we need.

Ratboy just making the point Dzeko should have had a tap in. He's a bit rusty & maybe Jovetic would have been there, but perhaps he'll sort it 2nd half now he's had another 45 mins.

That was a very decent half for away in the Champions League. Now we have to do the other bit.

A satisfying half as far as I'm concerned. We're still in the game, and have some creativity waiting on the bench for later in the game.

We, the support, HAVE to have patience. We know it's all out of our hands....lets keep the faith, as we can do it towards the end of the game.

It only takes a second to score a goal. We've come close a few times first half. It will come second half. Just keep the back door locked

Think we're playing well to ve honest. Navas is looking well dangerous. Think we'll do this.

What the fuck has happened to gervinho? He is a different player these days.

Dave warming up. Can he give us a really good 45? A lot to ask tbh. More like 30. Someone's got to get in the box though. Cometh the hour cometh Frank.

I think it was a decent half too - if we can keep it together defensively and keep Gervinho as quiet as possible I'm hopeful.

Reading back the last few pages makes me wonder if I'm watching a different game. Edin has been great, good movement and hold up play. Zaba has been awesome, he's definitely on his game. Nasri has been quietest but he's still pulling players out with good movement.

Nobody has put a foot wrong, every player seems to be on it tonight.

I'm not saying he's playing badly, just that IF he'd had a couple of games before tonight we might very well be 2-0 up in the first half, I agree his movement off the ball is good which is what I was meaning about him as a decoy with Lampard.

Zabaleta has been piss poor and Dzeko looks way off the pace, no surprise really as he's not had game time to get back up to speed.
