Post match one liner from Gary Neville

Watched the post match analysis last night with Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness. Neville was talking about chucking one of the youth team players in at the deep end and having to take them off if it doesn't work (talking about Loftus-Cheek of Chelsea), however, he said.

"You dont want to pull off a kid, as he cant handle it"

Cue Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness in tears and unable to speak! Neville wasn't happy at first as he thought they were dissing his analysis, then it dawned on him and the presenter had to go to an ad break as Carragher and Souness were still giggling like schoolgirls.

If anyone has a clip of this, please post it

Is that the actual quote ?

I tried to quote it from memory in the other thread, but if that's it word for word then that's funnier still.

I am doing it from Memory as well Ted, I just googled it and found a football365 article that changed the wording, just change the word substituting for the word pulling

“The right thing to do is to bring him in slowly so he’s comfortable,” he said. “You don’t want the situation where you’re substituting pulling the kid off because he can’t handle it.

Yeah I just had a look & I think that's the general consensus of what he said.

It was very funny indeed, as you could tell by Neville's face in closeup, that the other two had gone completely, & then Stelling tried to bring them back into the conversation, but neither could speak.

Are we sure they weren't laughing at him because he's a ferret-faced twat?

Watching that live last night and I was PMSL.

Nothing better than the giggles when you're not supposed to. Stelling had to cut it short because he could get nothing out of Carragher or Souness.

Brilliant.
