what a cunt. Unfortunately missed the game due to work but caught the post match talk + goals. jesus the bellend has not gone one positive thing to say about the game or city. From what I saw, we played well.
he slagged off ferd and nando for not making any clever passes or creativity, slagged off dzeko and slagged off yaya who wasn't even playing.
the only praise came about the defenders not having much to do because ferd and nando were pressuring roma.
Rat face the biggest rag head was spot on however.

Think you missed his point. he seemed to me to be saying that the two Fs controlled the midfield and allowed us to win the game.

He's generally in our camp although he is quite dour. Also loves to highlight YaYa's weaknesses which I respect.

Souness has never been sour or derogatory about us.
I've always thought he comes across fair and actually defended us a few times and laid into us fairly whenever he's covered us.
He doesn't come across as the typical bitter scouse and i dont think I've ever heard him say the infamous "with the money they've spent" which most others tend to bring up every other sentence.
I like him

I'd tend to agree he has improved immeasurably in recent years as an analyst, and when he has something to say now it's generally worth listening to. He is very even handed, and often extremely complementary about city (where deserved) when working on BeIN Sports every weekend, but also won't pull his punches when we have had a stinker.

Though he was unnecessarily dour after such a good win. No problem to be like that in a pub or your own living room, but we shouldn't be forced to look at some depressed cunt right after qualifying for the knockout round. At least act like your happy to be paid to give your opinion about football in front of millions of people FFS

Sadly you seem to have forgotten his rant at City on the day Gerrard fell on his arse, and we then went to Palace and won to put ourselves in pole position.
Liverpool had bolloxed it up and the mask slipped - apparently we were unimpressive and he didn't see a Champions performance, and he was disappointed in what he saw. This after a 2-0 win at Palace - a ground where his beloved Liverpool completely imploded a week later.
Generally he has been fair but on occasion the mask slips.
Neville and Carragher have been quite fair about City and both were spot on in their assessment in Wednesday. Souness is OK but he's had his completely unnecessary bitter moments too, and we shouldnt pretend otherwise.

I didn't see any problem and he's always quiote fair with us. He was even smiling when they cut back just after the match
I think his points about Yaya are very fair. A power in the PL but the games against Bayern and Roma would've been completely different with him lumbering about in defensive mid.

Are you pissed?! Carragher just moaned about how much we've spent before the match and how we should already be qualified. He's the worse pundit out there.

For my money, all of them are either cretins or morons and, in some (i.e. most) cases, both.
Not one of them is worth a bent farthing and they all can jump into a volcano, as far as I'm concerned.

That's how I saw Carragher's comments Wed as well and I agree, he offers absolutely nothing in the studios. but apart from Carra I agree with G103

i liked that Neville had a completely different view of souness and Carragher on the money issue and even said Liverpool spend 120m but have even touched the sides as that counts for 40m net which is nothing

I know it shouldn't but for some reason the thread title sounds worse the moderated way.

Haters are going to hate folks, we should be well used to it by now, just laugh their jealousy off.
Souness and carragher obviously very upset after the debacle of the night before.
Just wait until Gerrard joins the sky brigade.

There is only Neville that comes across as impartial. You would not know he has ever had an allegiance to any club....that's just professionalism and I applaud the little fucker. The others make comments that are loaded with anti city agenda and at times Souness is the worst. Rodgers has spent £215m in the last two years. Is this ever mentioned? No, and a shit house like Souness never will. They talk as if City should win the champs league with " all the money spent." Real Madrid £80+m for bale and Ronaldo esch and £60m on Rodriguez. That's £220m on 3 players. City's record signing £36m for Aguero. Any moron with a snails intelligence can tell that if it comes down to money only we have no chance of winning it. Will Souness ever mention this? No, but Neville might do.
