Chelsea's Quadruple

And as predicted the talk of a quadruple has started and now that they are the semi finals of the League cup, it's gaining momentum ... exactly like it happened to us last season ...
We lost Negredo in the second leg semi of this competition and that did leave us short up top with Aguero also re-injuring himself around then ... so a similar injury or suspension etc to say Costa or Febregas or even Matic for them along with loaded fixtures for them in Jan would be good for us ...
The title of thread is actually misleading ... what I wanted to write about instead of "their quad" was their fixture overload and how that (the extra fixtures and travel) combined with media hype/pressure of this Quad talk will do us just fine ... let's see how well they cope with these now.
Thier draw against Liverpool (for league cup semis) is just perfect for us as now as they have to play them mid week right before playing us on weekend.
Here is how their fixture pile up looks like:
Starting from now ... we last played over the weekend at the same time as them but have had a whole week off while they played last night against Derby and quite a few of their first team was featured in the game.
We next play on 20th Sat early morning against Crystal Palace while they don't play till 22nd Mon night against Stoke. This isn't so bad as our win would put us on equal points as them at the top (and should we win 4-0, we'd even be top of the table) ... let's see how they take that pressure of us breathing right on their necks ...
26/12 They play West Ham at home earlier 12:45 kick off and we play later at 3:00pm away to West Brom.
28/12 Again they play a little ahead of us (at 2:05pm) away to Southampton while we take on Burnley at home (3:00pm)
1/1 We kick off at 3:00pm at home vs Sunderland while they take on Spurs (away) at 5:30pm
4/1 We play Sheffield Wed at home at 3pm as they take on Watford at home at 4pm
10/1 Both on Sat 3pm kick offs, we are away to Everton and they are at home to Newcastle
17/1 They are away to Swansea 3pm
18/1 We play Arsenal at home 4pm
20/1 (or 21/1) They are away to Liverpool for first leg semi of the League cup ... we rest.
24/1 (or 25/1) FA Cup fourth round weekend (hopefully we proceed and get another easier home draw, and hopefully they proceed too but get a tough away draw. I know wishful thinking, but we'll know in 1st week Jan)
27/1 (or 28/1) They play Liverpool again, second leg of their semi, this one at home ... we rest (and prepare).
31/1 We go to Stamford Bridge 5:30pm kick off. This could really be a six pointer as at this point at best we'd be 3-4 points ahead of them or at worst they'd be 3-4 points ahead of us. Most likely is we'd be pretty neck to neck with maybe equal on points or a single point up or down. This surely is a huge game and we can totally do with if Liverpool can not roll over in the first leg itself and go there with all to play for just a couple of days before they play us and then in that second leg a few injuries and suspensions that keep one or two key players out of our game with them will be icing on top.
7/2 They are away to Villa while we have Hull at home. No times yet as TV companies yet to select games from this week on.
And then another game week after that will come the Champions League back ...
We'll now see how they take all these fixtures and the whole Quad talk along with it ... I can see Liverpool being more motivated in the semis as that's the only thing they can realistically win this season, top 4 chances for them are pretty much gone.
