Jovetic shock!

Worth a special mention because we have no fit strikers. The lesser spotted Jovetic seen taking a full part in training today. Brennan tweets Jojo is hopeful of being available for Boxing Day. Unless he stubs his big toe on the bath that is. Wonder how they'll set up if he does play. Jovetic is not really best playing up front on his own. Will he play off Milner LOL? Anyway if he does make it onto the pitch it's good news.
No sign of Vinny today though.

important we dont bring him back too soon and risk getting him injured again just because he is our only available striker. The 'false 9' worked ok after all and the next 2 or 3 fixtures are winnable without a recognized striker.

IMO the false 9 role is probably the perfect role for Jovetic

He didn't take a full part in training though so I wouldn't be too quick to pronounce him available for Boxing Day.
He did the 2 lap jog around at the start; then sat out the keep ball circles; then played in the small game across the width of the pitch, before sitting out the final full 11 vs 11 game, which started with 1 touch, then 2 touches and finally a full game.
Mangala and Demichelis also sat out the final 11 vs 11 game too.
Notably Milner played the 11 vs 11 game largely up top.

Same, we needed Milner to be a bit more selfish, have more of a eye for goal and he would have been MotM, JoJo will fit the role perfectly.

I think Jovetic is a fantastic player but if this carries on we should get rid and bring someone else in. He seems to be a big girls blouse.

We all agree. Yaaaaaaawwwwwn.
I hope to fuck he's fit. If we pass like we did at the weekend with Jojo in that role we literally will not miss aguero imho.
Cheers

Chances are if you agree, we're all wrong.

Brennan now says Pellegrini has given Jovetic the thumbs down for West Brom. Maybe ok for Burnley. Maybe. Vinny also a possible for next week. Hoping to sort out Lampard loan extension in next few days.
Milner up front then.

Totally agree. He is out of the west brom and burnley games but I don't expect to see him soon after that either. We will be getting rid but his wages are a stumbling block.

Milner upfront is not the answer , I don't care what fucking opposing players he pulled away with him against CP , we wont get away with that against many teams.
We need a fuckign forward in there and its either Pozo or Ambrose imo.

I thought Pozo was injured but I may be wrong. I think someone earlier in the thread suggested that Milner played up top in training today. Is Milner up top the answer? Of course not.

Pozo is definitely NOT the answer.
Maybe another surprise might be in order.

Are you having your new Floridian kit man get your boots ready?
Ambrose for me. Fuck it. Although my guess is Pellers will stick with Jammy Jimmy. Probs cuz he'll sign that damned contract as well if he gets another start and we win. People are funny like that.
Cheers

Yes, I think MP will stick with this until Dzeko is back. It will be a few games to get thru tho .. West Brom, Burnley Sunderlamd Sheff Wed then hopefully a forward fit for Everton. I'm not sure if this will happen tho, as MP said today that our two strikers will be fit in the second half of Jan. Maybe Ambrose will be looked at in the Sheff Wed game.

Couldn't give a toss who Pellers plays. What I like is, no matter who he puts out, they are finding a way. There is something about this squad that seems to be clicking.
They will have set backs, but I really do believe, they have enough about them, to see them through.
