This Weeks Other Games | New Years Day 2015

Well, another full set of games today starting with another TV outing for the Rags (have all their games been shown this festive period?) against a resurgent Mark Hughes team who have won their last 2 against Brom and Everton. The Rags are coming off the back of a disappointing game with Spurs and even though they're on a nine game non-losing streak, they've had 2 draws in the last 3. Can Stoke keep up their winning ways or is a draw more likely to be the outcome, I'm not sure.

Then we're into the 3 o'clocks where we could draw level with the Chav's who play this evening. The big game for me is the Saints v Arsenal fixture where both teams have hit a bit of form, and on the same points, are vying for the Wenger Cup. The Saints have had 2 impressive wins over Everton & Palace before holding Chelsea to a 1-1 and although Mourinho did believe they were cheated I think they were well worth the point. Arsenal on the other hand have scraped wins against QPR & West Ham and drew against the Dippers, a game they should've won only for Skeletor to score in the 97th minute. Where did all that time come from Mr Wenger?

Of the others I'll be keeping an eye on the Dipper v Leicester game as well as the Toon v Burnley, just to see if Burnley can match their 2nd half effort in our game.

Lastly, and probably one that all Blues will be keeping an eye on, is the the Spurs v Chav's. Spurs haven't beaten Chelsea at home since April 2010 and from then theire have been three 1-1 draws and a 4-2 win to Chelsea. Chelsea spanked them at the 'Bridge and it's probably going to be a difficult game for Spurs again, although, their current form, three 2-1 wins and two 0-0 draws should give them confidence to at least come away with some points, if not the win.

Game on.

Stoke v Man Utd 12:45

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace 15:00
Hull v Everton 15:00
Liverpool v Leicester 15:00
Man City v Sunderland 15:00
Newcastle v Burnley 15:00
QPR v Swansea 15:00
Southampton v Arsenal 15:00
West Ham v West Brom 15:00

Tottenham v Chelsea 17:30

The rags are coming up short because they are now playing teams that have the same amount of rest as they do. I think Stoke will do them today and although I can't see it I hope they get pulverized. (Happy New Year raggies.)

Tyler has provided at least 3 examples so far, of what could only be described as criticism of Utd. Imagine he will get the word in his headphones.

Ah has mentioned Stoke beat City. For no reason. More like it.

Normally not a fan of diving, but seeing Young and Wooney getting called for fouls on diving players appeals to my sense of irony.

Stoke may be winning but they are dogshit in every area so far. It's only shitness from the rags which is allowing it.

Good start. Let's hope it continues!

The saints v arse game us another annoying one. Obviously you'd always want whinger to lose, but if even arse aren't challenging rags for CL places, who will?
Personally I can't see So'ton keeping up any pressure for full season

N'zonzi has been pretty good, Crouch is playing to his strengths well, lots of flick on headers and holding the ball. Dogshit everywhere else though.

Was just going to post that no way can Stoke play like this & stay ahead. Rags doing nothing & still score.

Rags did nothing there and almost went behind again.

Getting away with it. As usual. If I was a rag, I'd be fucking furious watching this. But it often doesn't seem to matter what they do.
