Strong rumours Gerrard to announce his departure from Liverpool at end of the season. Would be a good catch for NYFC.

All the reports suggest he will go to LA Galaxy.
Look out for burning Liverpool shirts and Gerrard effigies in Merseyside soon!

Probably my most hated player of the past decade. Even worse than Rooney. At least the latter has scored over 40 goals for England. Gerrard is an atrocious player, with the double thumbs to his name on the back of his shirt being maybe the most conceited goal celebration ever. He has some nerve doing that when he destroys any midfield he features in.
Oh dear, Robbie Savage is infatuated.

Is he going for the new season or are the Dippers keeping him on loan for the remainder of ours ;-)

Couldn't have put it better. He will always be remembered for that slip above all else.

I would have said get him for NYC, but having found out how many anti City fans there are trying to take over there, if City signed Gerrard for NYC, they would be handing the club over to bitter Irish Liverpool supporters. Easy way to put bums on seats short term, but they would just be a bunch of shit stirrers with no interest in the club, but lots to say.
I don't think we should use another player from the Sky 4 clubs. Use ex City, Real Madrid, Milan, Barca players etc & kids & try to develop homegrown.
One of the most satisfying things in football, will be that Gerrard will never win the league in this country.

Each to their own, I find it harsh though, as he is one of the best all round midfielders this country has ever seen. His all round ability on the pitch is certainly unsurpassed for me, not only in England, but possibly the world in his pomp - and I challenge anyone to put up a couple of names of players who can do it all like Gerrard.
Imagine perhaps if Toure could defend, and for me that would be getting close to Gerard's abilities. Biggest shame is that he never got to fulfil his potential at a decent club, arguably due to the persistent rumours of gangland connections / threats etc stopping his moves away from Liverpool. Similarly dark aspects of his personal life also didn't reflect well on him off the pitch in recent years, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he was a fantastic footballer and worthy of a spot in any team in the world.

I'd rate Steve Nicol as highly as Gerrard, and rate both of them above Souness and Robson

Quality player over the years. Beating his team to the title last season was amazing. His dreams were crushed a handful of games.

Has he died? You'd think so watching Sky today.
One of the over rated hyped up generation, never quite seen what the fuss is about
