Ladies and gentlemen, your assistance is required. There are posters amongst you who have excelled themselves in the past twelve months with their dedication, intelligence and witty posts. Normally on New Years Day, the lads announce up to three posters who are elevated to the status of legend poster. The colour of their name is changed from black to the greatest colour of all: sky blue.

This year, it's a poll. Whom do you consider worthy. I've come up with a shortlist of posters who I deem worthy. If you have been omitted I sincerely apologise. Going from the results of the poll the lads will select those deemed appropriate. The poll will last for 7 days and you may vote for up to three people.

Good luck and may the best posters succeed.

I think dedication, intelligence and wit are overrated. Personally, I prefer members who post sporadically, often in a bad tempered manner and sometimes without actually being able to see the game being discussed.

I therefore put my hat into the ring.

I actually had phips down but I was limited to only 25 nominations.

Glad to see DOOMIE currently leading the race....about time too. He should have been given a key to the Legends' Lounge ages ago. Good knowledge of City and the game in general, happy to give it but can also take it and has an aserbic, if tangential wit. Travesty if he is ommitted for another year.

ZURICITY: No votes? Long term poster who can be controversial but is usually thought provoking.

LEV BRONSTEIN: Long term poster who maybe doesn't post enough....but I defy anyone to show me a bad post of his.

Considerations for Cocacola, Craig, Steve (from Donny), Mr Chigorin and several others. Any of whom I would be happy if they got the nod.

Voted cutemancs for the sterling work on the away fans feature, very underappreciated member of the site, and someone who actually contributes to the board in a really positive way

I should point out that the first 10 or so names were nominated in the off topic thread. The others were either recent thread starters or contributors, or online at the time. I'm gutted I didn't include Bianchi on ice, Mase and countless others. Just bad timing really.

However, we should get some worthy recipients from the list provided.

Some great posters there . . . . And one or two right dicks.
Is it right that an American can have legend status on a Man City board? Can he be truly worthy? I have to say that he knows his schnizzle, for a septic.
Cutamancs away feature has been excellent but I do get mad with such stupid comments so Hmmm
Spartacus makes some fine observations but more importantly sees the game largely as I do, and I'm great so he must be in with a shout.

It's sorting out the Legends from the Leg Ends that is the problem!

I've gone with Doom, Craig and Spartacus, but could just as easily have gone for three other, just as worthy posters.

For me, there are five obvious contenders on there, plus 3 or 4 that have been omitted.

I would've voted for Herb, Phips and Ant but seeing as they're not up there I'm abstaining.
