Just watching Soccer Saturday and they are making us out to be an absolute disgrace of a club for the Lampard signing.
Also saying that if we buy Bony we will HAVE to sell players to get us in line with FFP.

That is very much the answer mate but it's still annoying as people believe what they see on Sky. For example, I was talking to a Blue (and a Rag) last night in the bar who has not been for a while and gets his fix from the likes of Sky. The conversation turned to the crowd and he said how quiet it was as we never sell-out! When I told him that we sell-out 99% of PL games and only have problems with certain cup games he went onto say that he's seen it on Sky et al, with all the talk of empty seats and atmosphere.

Now, this lad has been a ST holder for many years until he moved away (prior to move to CoMS) but his knowledge is now replaced by what the media tell him.

The all new Sky Sports HQ is a joke. The same stories re-hashed every 20 minutes with every story hyped to hell. Then there's the Sky 4 love-in to contend with which makes for an unbearable watch.

I'm very happy that I cancelled my subscription and although they are a little better with us now, the way they still fawn over their old girlfriends makes me want to stick my size 10 boot through the tele.

SSN, I haven't watched since take over as you say below its nothing short of a 20 minute loop. They have it on in the background down the pub when there isn't footie/rugby/cricket showing live. There is one guy who finishes work at 3pm, so when I get there about 6ish he has sat there for 3 hours absorbing their shit they spout. It must be at least twice a week where I have put him right with real facts. I know so many that only use SSN as their source and believe everything religiously!

I tend to have a tab open on laptop on news now/city and will generally click links to MEN, OS and a select few other papers (what happened to Cheshire today lol). Those who only watch SSN are the only ones who take part in the poles, based on shit garnered from SSN. A self perpetuating blind leading blind if you like.....
When truth does come out, normally a few days later like on the lampard case, I make a point of saying to these monkeys "as I was saying..." To which they conveniently have forgotten having an opinion in the first case...

how any fan or journal could pretend to know the first thing about the finances of what is basically a multi nation company now is beyond me. these statement about us having to sell, or raise funds are just attention grabbers to get people to watch, read or listen to bullshit shows.

i have a couple of connections at the club and they don't even know what the situation is fully; but they are calm about it all.

this lot have a job to drum up controversy and interest - so will write anything within reason (i.e. that they will not get sued for) so not even worth listening to.

From my point of view - our ownership have taken us to a totally new level, beyond anything that currently exists in world football, given 10 years ours is a model that all the big clubs will be trying to replicate. thats not the best thing about all this however, the best thing is the way our owners are doing it - keeping the fans close, the community closer and with the utmost respect for all associated with this club.

we have gone (in a matter of short years) from being a joke of a club to a well run global business which has more class in its inanimate objects than all the other premiership clubs put together.
