best of luck to him, good chance he could be ireland number 1 in a few years if he moves up a couple of divisions.

Decent keeper for sure but I guess just not deemed good enough for City's level whereas Gunn just might be. Billy O'Brien also move on loan to St. Mirren I think so maybe we might see some of Daniel Grimshaw soon although it was Haug who played U 23's last night and Grimmy on the bench.

Keep an eye out for defender Finley Burns..13 years old we have just signed from Southend......175 k...so he must be something special.

The Southend manager was on Talk Shite this morning effectively moaning at this saying " who the hell can tell if a 13 year old is going to make it for Southend never mind at a top side like City. It's crazy" We will just have to wait and see.

We don't do Talk Shite over here but I know it's reputation.
Sounds to me like the media putting a negative spin on another City story.

What I find most disturbing about this is, why they are even allowed splash the name of a kid that young on the papers and put all that pressure on his shoulders.

I'm sure this is just another talented kid who is going to have to battle it out with an already talented U14 squad. Good luck to him. It is not easy for any of them to make it.

But I find the British Sports Media in particular, absolutely without any moral compass, even when it comes to kids.

City paid more than they are required to and Southend were well compensated.
That's money I'm sure they could well use.
I'm sure this kid is just one of many from near and far.

It is hard enough for a kid that age to up sticks and move away from family without gutter journalism sensationalising it for their own negative agenda.

haha just listened to 3 minutes more of TS and got Custis going on about this young kid and how it puts so much pressure on the lad. Unbelievable they cannot recognise how they help create the most presure by naming the lad, creating big headlines and telling him how much pressure he is under and the spotlight is on him.

he's my mate's mate's son.
they accepted the offer from city partly because of the education package we offered. it includes private education for his sister as well.

Wish I had gone to watch the 18's at Wolves today. There was some doubt about the game due to frost but it was just put back to 12. Bad start too as we went one down but 5.2 in the end and another great win.

I thought Sancho was brilliant v Scousers on Wednesday but didn't score or get a direct assist so he made up for it with a hat trick today and an assist. He really is flying. Gonzalez isn't doing too bad either with another 2 goals.

Can't wait for the cup game next Thursday v Southampton. If you live close you really should get along to watch them.

Not heard yet but I expect it might be. They have to lose a game sooner or later I suppose but I do hope they get to the final of the youth cup again. As for the league I think some of the other "top" teams dropped points today

I would love this to be the year they beat Chelsea in the final.
