Quick question: Where's the Youth Cup game (away to Villa) being played on Weds, and is it pay-on-the-door?

According to the OS it's at Villa Park and I would assume it's pay on the night. (hope so anyway)

Cheers. Just checked on their website, and the last round (against Broxbourne Borough) was, £4 entry.

Another great move. Diaz nearly putting us ahead via a deflection.

City knocking on the door but just failing to score.
They're clearly the better team, but you'd hate to see them go out on penalties.

They just need one incisive ball to cut them open. It's very hard through a packed Villa defence.

And there it is from Smith. Great passing move down the left. Sancho picks him out arriving into the box. Took one touch past the defender and shot. Took a deflection.
But great move.

Sancho after being a bit hit and miss is really starting to destroy them down the left.

Full time. 2-1 to City.
A deserved win from what I saw. Villa were holding on for a draw. It was all City.
Sancho did excellent for the winner but I though some of the skill from Diaz was sublime. He was much more on his game from the 30-35 minutes I saw.

Saw end of 1st half and all of 2nd half. City totally on top. Great fight, possession and approach play, but few on target efforts on goal. Thankfully we won! Semis opponents will be PNE or Stoke. Chelsea to play Newcastle or Spurs.

Was almost starting to fear a disaster when Matt Smith popped up with the winner. We were so so much better than Villa it was embarrassing but they did stick in the game until that second goal. On a different day we would have been 3 or 4 up by 60 minutes.

Sancho may have been MotM ,with a goal and an assist plus terrorising them at times, but somehow I didn't think he was at his best tonight. Still so good though isn't he. Diaz had some great moments but he did miss 2 or 3 great chances. We don't really see the best of him when he is asked to play center forward and then when he drops into the 10 role he starts to shine.

I was surprised Foden was taken off for Nmecha ( not Gonzalez) as I expected maybe Bolton off and move Diaz to a wider role but I guess he wanted him as number 10. Villa scored and really didn't threaten again but the fear of something crazy remained. Bar the key part of scoring goals I thought we were pretty good without being great tonight and mosy of thge players did their job well.

Great for Matt Smith to score the winner. He is on fire at the moment whatever role he is given to play.
