Very bad timing with Yaya being away.

At least the first game is v Arse, where he normally isn't great.

Leaves us lacking in creative options to change a game if it's not working though. What a pity we haven't tried one or two of the kids in previous games to find out if any of them could have helped.

We're a bit fucked.

A line up Fernando, Fernandinho, Milner, Navas and Silva isn't really as creative as we're used to. Worried.

Maybe play Jojo on the left with Kun upfront?

Has anyone being watching how Lopes on loan? If any good can we recall him?

I think this is where 2 up front will come into its own. It means we only have to find two attacking midfielders.

He's injured and you cant recall from season long loans.

Also not as good on ball retention in theory. But Fernandinho was actually the star v these last season, getting forward more.

If we require Jovetic at any time, let's hope he is on it too. Be it as a starter or off the bench.

Imagine if Pellers had the balls to give barker a go on the left.

If he'd played him v Sheffield, & he'd starred, then Barker would now be a great option, either starting, or off the bench. It could have easily worked out like that. Starting him on Sunday, we would have no idea what to expect.

It's not just the kids who lose out, if you don't play them when the opportunity arises.

As Ted says he's always a bit suspect against Arsenal. The big loss will be against Chelsea though. This will force us to play Milner in that match which may be no bad thing with Hazard's threat down our left. Let's not forget that Fernandinho is not really a defensive midfielder. He can be very creative. Time for him to step up and show what he can do further up the pitch starting this Sunday. Also as has been said Jovetic is available to offer something different. Having said all that Nasri was really playing well and it's a blow, no point in pretending otherwise.

Actually Hazard often plays down the left but Milner could be deployed on our right as well.

Nasri is always bobbins v Arsenal ... I still reckon we will win by 3 clear goals whatever side we put out (3-0, 4-1, 5-2 etc). Arsenal have far worse injury concerns than us!

Most of their players who are missing, are the overrated ones who they are better off without though.

As someone has mentioned elsewhere, if we get the result against Arsenal we can take a draw against the Cheating Chavs quite happily. The onus will be on them and they're no good at taking the game to quality teams (given their manager is a shit house).

this is where not having another creative midfielder, aside from Silva, really hurts.

i guess it'll be Navas, Milner, and Silva on Sunday

I think this might give Jovetic the chance to play alongside Silva and behind Aguero instead of being the focal point of the attack, it might just do him the world of good.
