It seems it's being shown in a few countries around Europe so there should be a Joan available

Completely dislike this friendly at this stage in the season, it's only a silly distraction and even though a (hopefully) very weak side will play, the whole thing will do the squad no good whatsoever.
Much more important things coming up soon to focus on.

May be just what the likes of Vinnie, Aguero, Kolarov and Dzeko need to help them get match sharp.

Good opportunity to see some of the young lads too. I believe Barker, Celina, Ambrose and Evans have travelled with the squad.

I can't remember who mentioned it but reading an article he said that they were looking forward to it, getting a little time away in the sun just like all the other top teams do. Definitely deserve a bit of a break after the Xmas period and should do them all a world of good, if only to see the Sheikh.

Difference is that it's be like a cooling shower rather than an Ice Bucket Challenge.

Cheers.

Normally I would be against the first team players taking part in something like this at this stage of the season, but I agree with comments regarding how many players need a run out & also the kids.

This & the Boro game, are perfect for getting people like Aguero & Dzeko upto speed, but not overworking them, whilst also having a look at one or two of the young players.

I couldn't agree more. When you're not blinded by love for the blonde boy it seems that you can see things for what they are and give good opinion. I'm impressed.

Really surprised the club isn't streaming the game on OS like the match at the end of last season.

That's strange alright i was expecting the OS to show it.

Anyone know if it's being broadcast on any foreign channels? At least we might find a Joan if that's the case.

It will most probably be on Abu Dhabi sport, but after the shambles of making everyone buy a set top box then losing the rights to show the premier league the year after, I think hardly anyone subscribes any more, so rivers could be hard to come by unless German tv has bought the rights

I've posted a link above which shows which countries are showing it.

Nice one, I'm just packing and realised I haven't got a coat - it's fucking freezing in Al Ain

First world problems!

Anyone else thinks our players (mentally) were already on that plane while playing Arsenal, that they were supposed to take right after the game ...

Still think it's a load of bollocks, as the title of a recent thread "crucial time of the season". They would be better of staying at home and practising a few corners and set pieces!!
