AFCON

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

AFCON

Postby Green & Blue » Tue Jan 20, 2015 2:44 pm

Not a tournament that's got me interested but I'm off for the day so I think I'll watch the Ivory Coast today, keep an eye on Bony and Yaya.

The standard of the teams taking part looks worse than normal this year.If wasn't for the fact that it would prolong Bony and Yayas absence I'd like to see Ivory Coast win it but they seem to find a way to self implode in every tournament.

My give a shit level for this tournament registers a consistent zero, saved only for when Ivory Coast are playing at which time their opponent is mildly rooted for from afar.

Wont watch a single second of this waste of time nonsense.

Get in Guinea

Shocking defending from Ivory Coast, really poor goal to concede.

Don't begrudge any of them going but do Africans even give two shits about this?

Good control and pass from Bony to set up that goal.

I think it's like the World Cup group phase. Two wins and you're through surely. 3 points and you're probably through.

Brennan says Yaya was shocking. Subbed off with 5 to go but not sure that means much. Disappointing that Guinea conceded an equaliser when one man off.

if they go out then would yaya and wilfried be viable squad selections for the game vs the chavs?
just naming them on the bench would get jose's knickers in a right old twist
come on mali!
