His hand was out by his side. Goal side. Defenders train to have their arms behind their back in those exact positions. Every single pundit, commentator and fan I heard said it was a definite penalty.

His hand stopped a cross. Stone wall penalty.

Due to being on holiday with a lack of interweb, and tbh a large amount of apathy after standing in the cold for 90 minutes agaist the arse, I've only just seen the boro highlights.
And I have to say, how the hell was that first goal allowed, I thought challenges like that on keepers have been illegal since the 1930's

Agree. I've seen people get sent off, being in far more control than that guy.
I'm not advocating he should have been sent off, before anyone says I'm mad. It was a foul on the keeper though, he got nowhere near the ball.....
Well he got fairly close to Willy's left one, but that was about it.
