Costa stamps

Let's see what excuses the FA comes up with today!
To be fair quite a few media outlets are pushing it and not hiding away from both incidents.

Both pretty much identical to Adebayor's against Arsenal.

I think it was much less clear that Ade's was intentional, but the fact that it was towards the head made the media (and the FA) go apeshit.

After the Mario Balotelli stamp on Scott Parker we had a dedicated media witch hunt for 24 hours to ensure an FA charge followed. Id like the same for Costa please but I wont hold my breath.

The one on the neo-nazi was worse in my opinion than Ade's. Whilst Ade grazed VanP Costa full on stamped on Skrtel. I'm just hoping the FA have got the balls to do something.

Costa will probably be charged. Maureen will appeal, he will be able to play against us and he will receive a 3 game ban versus Villa, Everton and Burnley....however, if the FA decide to give an extra game for a frivolous appeal, he will miss the final.

Interesting to see how they will play it

As I mentioned in another thread, for me the most important thing is that he will finally get the punishment he deserves.

And that the media realises these things happen (it's not like this was first dirty thing Costa did) as in the future the journalists will focus more on these. Hopefully. You never know with journos do you (sorry xavi)

And just for the record, Costa is a fucking brilliant player and is Chelsea's Craig Bellamy. Every other fan hates him but chelsea fans adore him. I know what I would choose of he was offered to us!!

Appeals are fast tracked these days, so if hes charged, there wont be scope to appeal to enable him to play on Saturday.

The key is him actually being charged which likely wont happen.

Craig Bellamy wasn't a cheat or a dangerous player mate.

I don't want either type playing for us, let alone both rolled in to one!

The media need to stay on this horrible cunt. Let's see how his game is affected when he has to play fair.

2 is a bit more of a coincidence.

But with the FA - fuck knows, there's no easily predictable behaviour.

true Ted, I meant the comparison that they were good players who if they didnt play for you, you hated, but when they played for you, they became a cult hero.

I get wher you are coming from though, he has a real nasty streak, just the perfect player for Maureen

Here's Mark Halsey's opinion:

"The first incident [with Can] was definitely deliberate. Both officials will be disappointed they missed it," said Halsey,

"What will happen now is, the FA compliance officers would have seen that last night, listened to all the comments, and they will speak to the match officials this morning and ask, 'did you see the incident?' If they say, 'no, we did not see the incident' then the FA will ask what they would have done and Michael Oliver will say 'well, obviously we would have dismissed him for violent conduct.' If that happens this morning, the FA will then charge Diego Costa."

This is what Mourinho was working on during the game & even afterwards, not the penalty appeals etc. Everything designed to put pressure on the officials & Phil Dowd helping him cover it up at half time.

Let's see if Oliver has the balls to say he would have taken action.
