There's no Bosnian spastic thread?

Wonderful goal, great performance.
Kolarov lost the ball in the 2nd half when attacking, and next thing I see is Kolarov jogging back and Dzeko was defending at left back. I've never, ever seen a full game performance quite as good as that from Dzeko.
This is the sort of shit he can turn out when he puts the effort in, and today he was virtually unplayable and looked like an absolute worldy. When you have that much talent, why you don't have the right attitude to use it week in, week out just stuns me.

Playing on an old forum theme with the title. Perhaps those who coined the original phrase might in time decide that this lad has been a real part of our history, and could surely still be a big part of our future if we could just get him fired up like this every week

Today was probably his best game, but he has put in some real high effort performances in the past, then for some reason stops doing it. I thought he put a good shift in last week. Early season he had a couple of big effort games. It could be that he was carrying an injury after that, hence being shite.
But I hope that if he is left out on Tuesday, he doesn't sulk & then go half arsed in the next game. If he puts that kind of effort in, he becomes a proper player, not a luxury goalscorer, & the whole team is more balanced. He could play in a 433 with that kind of effort. He was like a better version of Muller today.

good game. long overdue. it is fucking infuriating that it takes a negredo or bony waiting in the wings in order for dzeko to pull his finger out.

He is, on his day like today, an absolutely top notch player. Yet he is so fucking frustrating.
He still wasted the ball in possession a few times today, but the goal he scored, even Aguero would probably not have managed it. But Aguero wouldn't have been back at left back like I described before..........His all round game, effort was fucking incredible, and it makes me so mad to see that he doesn't do this every week.
He really would be one of the worlds best if he played like this every week.
Maybe he bullied Newcastle, I dunno, but I felt he played a bit like tonight in the 2nd leg when he came on at Barca, he scared them to death with the way he played.
I'd have to give him the nod at Barca after that

He was fucking great. Don't you wish you could actually find a way to tell players to read threads like this to encourage em to do it more?

After tonight, I seriously wanna get hold of him and fucking shake him and ask him what the fuck he does the rest of the time.
Tonight, we got the player we paid the money for.....and more
But it's up to the manager to motivate him to play like that, just as much as it's down to the player. I thought the manager played a masterstroke starting Dzeko tonight to be honest, says 'I have faith in you' over the new guy, and puts it all in the players hands to keep his place for the Barcelona game
He's undroppable for Tuesday now, let's just hope the motivation continues.

I'd like to say...once a spastic, etc...
His spasticity and contributions of great import are not mutually exclusive elements of his time at City.
Forza Spazzy.
Cheers

It was a fantastic finish for his goal and he played extremely well.....it was like the player I saw at Wolfsburg who I thought we were getting.
Unfortunately - just as everyone has said - whilst he has scored some vital goals, it is his lengthy periods of half-arsed spasticity which makes him infuriating. I would not be remotely bothered if we sold him as yesterday's performance will next be repeated probably some time in 2016.
I would love to be wrong - but I bet I'm not

I've posted this before, he's. swapped places with his twin brother again
But seriously, what a great performance , take and what a goal
His last two performances, he's left Sergio in the shadows and on performance should we start with a 5 man midfield, he should start ahead of Sergio based in this and how he put the willies up Barca's defence last game

Demo and Aguero seemed to both spend quite a lot of time deep, I think yesterday WAS 5 in midfield defensively, with the strikers rotating in and out of the top spot as the game dictated, and an entirely different formation offensively, eg Kolarov was very very high up on the
left wing much of the game when we were in posession and didn't bust a gut to get back as he was generally covered by a midfielder.
It couldn't have worked without dzeko's workrate, and one does fear that he has previous for blowing hot briefly, then cold for months. If we try the same and he goes missing against Barcelona, we will get overwhelmed in midfield - big game for him coming up for sure.

I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if he was dropped on Tuesday.

I think that's what we were expecting with him playing the full game and the other two sharing 90 minutes between them.
He does have a knack of turning it on in the 2nd half of a season, so maybe it's form, maybe it's a one-off. Thank god Pellers makes the decisions and not me.

Tbf, he I recon may have been injured & carrying the injury. Thus shite.
People on here keep moaning about Jovetic NOT playing when he's injured, but I recon he is the one who has got it right. Dzeko, Aguero, Kompany, Negredo, poss Zabba & Silva have all played when not fit & all been fucking garbage, possibly costing us points & cups in the process. If we only have 11 to pick or all 11 are playing like shite, then fair enough, but on the whole, when they are not fit, they should fuck off out of the way. It's not 19 fucking 70. We have a squad.

True, but even when 100% fit he doesn't always give that same amount of effort. Just goes to show that when he does he's absolutely brilliant. Quite enjoyed the 'Muller but better' comment cos I can see that.
I always forget that Edin's actually a pretty good dribbler when he's confident too. I actually fancy him to beat his man when he wants to and get a shot away.

Really? You forget the one thing he always does well?
His left hand channel runs and beating his man are one of his best assets. Rather he stayed central, but it does allow Nasri and Silva to trail the play and get the cut back.

Yeah, sometimes it slips my mind cos he doesn't always do it. When he's in one of his sulks he barely does anything other than plod about.
I agree he's great at it, i just forget how good he actually can be at it. My point is that there isn't really anything he doesn't have when he puts his mind to it.
