That could happen but it surely won't. There are clearly problems in the camp but a game like this must lift the team to compete...mustn't it? We actually are capable of scoring the 2 goals needed if we are fully up for it and take chances that will come our way.

I might be behind the sofa as well though.

I have no doubt I will return to Optimism by 6.30pm on Wednesday and think we might have a chance, only to be shot down in flames 15 minutes later when the team news is announced and he has gone 442 again.

That sofa is going to have to be quite large I think :-)

For me it's the performance that's more important than us going through. I want us to restore our confidence so we can finish the PL strongly. I want us to get that battling team spirit that the lads showed at the end of last season. A hugely significant game for us.

What's the record score for a single leg at this stage of the competition? Bayern won 7-0 last week, but I don't know if that's been bettered ( I vaguely recall the rags hammering Roma, but I've put the details out of my mind).

Anyway, I'm not saying we'll do that, but if we can get an early goal and Barca start to wobble, you never know.

Or 3-0 Barca and 98% possession. Take your pic .

If you offered me a 3-0 defeat right now Id snap your hands off at it. We could seriously get embarrassed on Wednesday, though nothing can top the ultimate embarrassment of a squad full of talented players, effectively downing tools on their manager for the 2nd time in 3 seasons.

I don't know what I'm fearing more, being hammered by barca and seeing another half arsed performance. Or souness and co in the sky studio slating us and calling us an embarrassment to English football!

I'm shit at golf but I'll join you.

I even cancelled my premium footy channels so that I can't even watch it....

Tho...I will find a way to watch it I'm sure when the day comes.

Right now tho I'd rather go swimming with a drink and a straw hat on Wednesday. And I might.

Cheers
