50 Cap Plaque

A couple of months ago, David Silva was presented with a MCFC plaque that recognises we have a player playing for us that has achieved 50 international caps! This was presented on the pitch, and is probably the silliest presentation of a plaque I have seen, who made that bollox up?

However, I expect to see Super Joey Hart pick up a plaque against West Ham in a couple of weeks!

Well done Joe, its quite an achievement and I hope the plaque goes on the wall LOL

When they hand it to him, I hope he doesn't drop it.

Id be a lot more interested if we did something for 250 or 300 appearances for City by a City player.

As for International football - I really don't give a shit about it at all. The tournaments are an entertaining watch but I genuinely don't give a monkeys about City players playing, aside from hoping they come back fit.

My second team after City is City EDS/Youth Teams, then a distant third comes Glasgow Rangers. A very very very distant next is City ladies team who I like to see win but have no great attachment to, whilst New York City I care as much about as I do the England national team.

He got the award for winning the most caps whilst a city player. 49. Presumably some of Joe harts 50 were won whilst at Birmingham.

He couldn't have been the first City player ever to reach 50 caps while a City player. Dunne was here 9 years and in the Irish side for most of that time.

Had to check that and it turns out that he won 43 of his 80 caps whilst a City player.

That's amazing, I suspect he would have got 50 had Ireland qualified for ANYTHING....EVER.
