Linked by who? Anyone remotely credible?

Henderson is one of the most improved players in the league but he is going to be Liverpool captain and Wilshere is a tad overrated and always injured.
Bollox story.

Henderson is one of the worst players I've seen in the Premiership. Clough mk2.

Bit harsh IMHO.

He does what he does simple as that.

When Milner signs for Liverpool in the summer it will be interesting to see who gets in the team.

Maybe both. He might play Milner as a right wing back.

Henderson is alright as a tactical 'tool'.

Games where you need a runner or vs poor quality teams, Henderson would be ok. I would have no objection to us signing him, as we don't have a similar style 'leg it about furiously' centre mid in the EDS. Ntcham would be the nearest.

We have plenty of Wilshires, without the baggage.

Henderson has improved massively over the last season and a half, but he is still not and never will be a Class A player, he is workman like, a fantastic engine and a good delivery, but he is not the level of player I want at City. A good point someone made about Milner, I think Milner is a better player than Henderson and will prove it next season if they are in the same team at Anfied.

Wilshite, is an arrogant prick, I dislike him as a person, however, he does have a lot of good footballing qualities, I think he would fit into our team footballing wise. Having said that he is made of glass and would cost stupid price for little playing time. Another Santa Cruz

All top sides in the Prem have a few bread & butter players though. Henderson would do a job.

I don't see anything in Wilshire that our kids couldn't do. I agree he would suit our style, but he is slow & a sicknote as well as a twat, & one of the biggest improvements in Arsenal's performance compared to last season, was that wanker not playing, trying to buy free kicks in his own half every time Fernandinho mugged him.

But unfortunately, due to the 'homegrown' rules, I think we will be in for him if we see a chance. There are few players who we could sign, who meet the criteria. He may be one. Same reason Danny Wellbeck got a job at Arsenal.

Wilshere must be some sort of a wind-up story - not good enough and never fit.

Henderson? Liverpool would never sell him to us so both of these are bollox.

Pogba and one of De Bruyne or Barkley please.

Not necessarily.

Say Milner goes, we have 8 places to fill for UEFA. Only club trained players are max 20 years old. So we have Hart, Clichy & two empty spaces for homegrown, Boyata & 3 empty places for 'club trained'. A total of 5 empty places in the Champions Lg squad. We potentially have about 12 U21s I would use, but managers are scared to use them.

So Everton ask for 50 mil for Barkley, Arse ask for 20 for Wilshire. We want DeBruyne, Pogba etc. Do we also spend 50 on Barkley as well, & can we even afford it, or do we go for Wilshire & Danny Ings to fill the two places ?

I would use the kids, but I bet a manager won't want to.

Just to mention further; in the Prem, we would have Hart, Clichy, Boyata & 5 empty 'homegrown' squad places.

God no to both, especially welshite. Another overrated English player and could give jovetic a run for his nhs permanent residency . We have enough sicknotes as it is.

"We’ve always had an ambition that at least four to six players in the team would come through this Academy. In the team." Brian Marwood.

Not sure how that would stack up with signing overrated but young players like Wilshere or was it an ambition for 10 year's time?

If this is the calibre of signing we are aiming for during the summer I'll be very disappointed.

Those signings will hardly get the season ticket holders salivating. We need quality ... Not squad players... But players who our "stars" will look at and know they can no longer cruise. Henderson offers little that Milner does and Wilshere seems typical English player who one day you notice has reached late 20s and still done bugger all.
