Why Is Pellegrini Still In A Job.

4 wins in the last 15 games.6 defeats in the last 8 games.

Our form has been shocking since Christmas.

My question to fellow City fans, is why is Pellegrini still in a job tonight at a club of our magnitude. What other big club would have tolerated such diabolical form.

Hughes was sacked prematurely, because it was decided his results trajectory suggested he would not reach the targets set for him by the board.

Surely our current results trajectory suggests we wont even finish in the top 4.

My worry is he has he not been sacked yet because the Spaniard who recruited him dose not want to lose face. It could be a case of him Putting his ego before the well being of the club, because he realises that sacking Pellegrini will have some questioning his judgement to start with. In effect he may be simply unrealisticaly hoping for the best.

Personally I think Pellegrini should have gone weeks ago. After the Palace defeat I thought his sacking would be a given.

I am extremely concerned about retaining Pellegrini services whilst we are now in free fall. I don't see any imminent improvement for City on the horizon with him at the helm. The next 6 games we have to change our approach. I don't see Pellegrini suddenly becoming more pragmatic in his approach.

I am worried by the lack of leadership both on and off the pitch.

In my opinion top 4 is now in serious doubt. looking at our situation objectively based on our form since Christmas. It is highly likely we will not finish top 4 with Pellegrini staying as manager. It is more of a gamble continuing as we are, rather than taking a chance on Patrick Vieira as caretaker manager for the next 6 games.

Something needs to be done before it is to late.

Come on, he won two trophies last year, that should entitle him to some leeway. Plus, precipitate sackings are bad form old boy.

This is our worst run of form since 29/10/08 - 03/01/09 (4 wins in 16) when we had Jo upfront.

We are on course for our worst league finish in five years.

He needs to go immediately.

Waste of time. If he's managing next season I will have little time for this shit. It's obvious that he and a slew of players need to go. Helen Keller could see that

Cheers

In his only full season, he led the club to its first-ever league & cup double, scoring 156 goals along the way.

The man's not blameless, but if we're drawing up a pecking order of club employees deserving of the sack, he's down around 15th.

The first 14 are players. And Txiki.

That's the seemingly enlightened viewpoint, but I think it's also the wrong one.

As much as we don't want to be like Madrid, Bayern, or barca...we are. You don't get it done you get sacked. Fail fast and move the fuck on.

Thank you Count, but the romance is over now fuck off to somewhere else.

Cheers

Yeserday Ya Ya Toure was tasked with marking Toilet Brush

Pellegrini seems to think Toure did it very well in the first half.I mean seriously what fuking game was Pellegrini watching ?.

Why would Pellegrini pick the laziest player in the City team.Who never ever tracks back or defends to mark Toilet Brush.

This is what disturbs me with Pellegrini,There is never any logic in what he does. For weeks we have been over run in midfield.Toure has been strolling around at a snails pace whilst Fernandinho has been running his socks off.His performances have been shocking,Just starting him in a game does not make sense any more.Yet today Pellegrini gave him the job of marking the Rags most influential player Toilet Brush.

I am wondering if Pellegrini is still in charge of his own facullties.

If you sack someone, you line up their replacement first. Who is being lined up?

I personally think last season's successes earn Mr. Pellegrini the right to put things back to normal.

If i thought he was capable of it i would support that.I think it is beyond him, there is no room for sentiment,City come first.Pellegrini is only an employee.

That is fair enough, mate, though I'd say that that little bit of sentiment is what makes us City.

You say something needs to be done, and that is also a fair comment. But what? Who would you like managing us instead?

A big chunk of this squad has history of this, and apparently think they can down tools with impunity. A lesson needs to be sent to the playing squad, surgically and ruthlessly.

Only four managers have ever led City to a title, and these players will have helped half of that group to the sack.

Given half a chance, this lot will somehow find a way to get Wilf Wild sacked. They were a fucking disgrace yesterday.

Well basically he isn't "still in a job". Sacked weeks ago which was the final nail in the coffin for our season as the players have also been pissed off all season with the Yaya situation. Now the manager goes, players heads drop, confusion on the pitch and a give up attitude. You can tell they started off well with a "one for the fans" approach, but as soon as we scored they switched off and thought they'd done the job. Story of the season, try to win but act passed off as you do it.

Last time this was seen, FA Cup final vs Wigan, purposeful loss to send a message.

Let's be honest here; the only reason we won the league last year is because Liverpool slipped up.

Last May, not even 12 months ago, after the last game v hammers when we won it the players gave this man the bumps on the pitch! It was all rosy in the garden.
Now we hear that he has "lost the dressing room", cant motivate players etc etc.
If so why, what has changed so much in such a short space of time? Has he slept with all the players wives? or told them that their kids are ugly?
Has he changed his tactics from last season? Is it his fault at all? Is the poor form of toure, kompany silva clichy dzeko etc etc all down to him.
It cant all be down to him, its several things most notably the very poor transfer window last summer, the others above us strengthened we didn't, in fact were weaker now. Of course he will pay the price for the failings of the club and will be gone at the end of the season.

The team who slips up the least is always the team who wins.

That's the type of attitude that's seen Arsenal left in 4th for a decade.

This is just plain wrong.

It was one of the best title wins ever, as was our first one. We won the title because we were the best fucking team in the country, which we have been overall, for the past 4 years. We are the only team to be involved in the last 4 title races. Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, have been way off it half the time.

We scored a record number of goals & played the best football the Premier League has seen. Liverpool only got into it in the first place, because of the demise of Negredo, which we now know, was caused by outside reasons.

I wish people would stop it with this .

Don't talk shite.

Keeping the same bloke in for years & not spending any money, is what has cost Arsenal. You really think Pellegrini will be here in fucking ten years, with us barely signing a decent player meanwhile ?

If Vieira is to be the next manager, then putting him in to do a salvage job with a bunch of tired/unarsed/injured players, some of whom know they are leaving, is grossly unfair on him imo & could ruin his career before it starts. The psychology of this is a big thing & we want him to start in the best possible shape.

If he isn't getting the job, then it doesn't matter, & they can throw him in.

Other than Vieira, I don't see who else can do it, so the Count stays at least until the end of the season.
