Let's see who's closer.

No wins in last four home games?

Cant see that to be honest. Defeats in both away fixtures wouldn't be a huge shock though, if a little unlikely

My brother, or as we shall refer to him from now on, The Eternal Optimist, thinks we are getting 14 points from 18....I still think we'll be closer to 4 than 14.

I think you need to re-evaluate, pfft call yourself a City fan

We got 9 from 3, you only picked 7. You're on my side of the equation now sunshine.

Call yourself a City fan.

I said we would be unbeaten and win 2 out of 3, you said we wouldnt win any and also get beat at spurs.... How the hell is that, in any way shape or form to be considered as on your side of the equation!

You underestimated them, so did I...after that it's just a matter of degrees.

You are now a pessimist, you'll get used to it, we have t-shirts.

although you wont wear them as you think it will be too cold to do so and you dont trust the weather to be of t-shirt warmth. Therefore there is no point in having them

It's just a survival technique. I couldn't stand the thought of having my hopes built up just to be crushed by those lazy, uninterested shitbags yet again. We were that bad at the time, you know.

Aye but we had won our last 3 home games on the bounce at that point with 4 home games remaining so....

But I take your point, I tend to try dampen down my expectations as a kind of security blanket.

You are relegated to the division below me after your rubbish attempt. If you show some form next season, we may have another battle. Maybe ask beefy or CTIDHants to give you some tips ;-)

I've doubted fourth for a long time now. A turnaround at about the same level as when we won the title in 2012 is required IMO, and I just don't see that happening.

Well, I'm fantastically pessimistic but did not even the most positive fucker on here wouldn't have thougth we would win five in a row. Hats of to everyone involved for turning this around.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Can we dare hope for 6 out of 6.
Why not. Makes you wonder why we always leave it to a really late run of form at the end of the season.

Hopefully in august they can start where they left off, although we havent been in top form, we have seen a bit of luck return in the last few games, that luck deserted us for 8 weeks or more...

i'd like to raise my hand and said i was fucking dead wrong about how we'd finish.

Here's to hoping we get the "first loser" spot of 2nd place. Woo-hoo!

cheers

I don't think any of us saw this coming. A great end and I hope we keep the upbeat mood in the club over the summer and hit the ground running in August.
Had to bump this thread and I'm tempted to do the same with the Silver Lining one as well.
