This Weeks Other Games | 25-29 Apr 15

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Apr 25, 2015 8:32 am

Done my FFT & Predictions league and there's a fair bit to choose from this week(end). A lot of games today but with none of the teams above us having a game until tomorrow it's imperative that we do the business to at least apply some pressure to the chasing pack. Saints & Spurs still have an outside chance of catching the top 4 with todays game most probably being an end to one of their chances, if not both. The Dippers have to go to West Brom who will be scrapping for every point and after a narrow defeat at Anfield in the reverse fixture, Pulis may have a bit of joy seeing as he's never lost to a Dippers team on his own turf.

The rest of the 3 o'clocks seem a little wishy-washy, teams vying for mid-table mediocrity, apart from the Burnley v Leicester game where they are both fighting to get out of the relegation zone. Shaun Dyche against Nigel Pearson, I'd love to see that kick-off and go odds on for a Dyche knock out in the 2nd half.

I do hope the Blue Dippers bum the Rags, without a reach-around and with the use of red hot pokers. Both teams seem to be on a good run at the moment and with Everton taking the last 2 games against the Rags (who've only won 1 in the last 6 at Goodison) and won their last 3 at home, the Rags may struggle to get through the Toffees back-line.

The big game of the weekend though has to be the London Derby, first against second. I cannot stand Maureen or his workman like drones but I'm hoping they can go on and win this one, giving us the opportunity to go above the Arse (although they'll still have a game in-hand). Maureen has comprehensively bored us to death this season but if that's how you win trophies, surely none of us can complain, certainly not Chav fans. The league title has already been won, unless for a total collapse, and Maureen deserves all the plaudits that will surely be handed to him ................ the cunt!

So, a lot of games, some scrapping for survival, some fighting for the Wenger Trophy, but all-in-all it looks like a good few days of football, whichever way your remote takes you. One thing I will say though is, 'Fuck the Chavs, Fuck the Arse and Fuck the Rags. The Dippers can go Fuck themselves Too!'.

Let's get another 3 pts in the bag tonight v Villa and go above the rags , they have a tough game tomorrow at Goodison Park . Will start to feel a tad better if we can stay above those cunts for the remainder of this season :-)

Yep fair play to Chelsea and Mourinho they have done what it said on the tin & now will be a formidable opponent every season, as they will have the confidence they can repeat it. They won't do that every year, but like us, they will be a constant threat.

Not for me though. All those years of shite to then come out of it & watch a City team bore their way to titles would not hold any interest for me. We've won stuff. Now, I want to see the City we are trying to build winning stuff. Mourinhos are not for me.

Hope they do the Arse though & Everton sink the scumbags. Bout time we had another Liverpool moment too.

I can see you pipping me in the predictions league this weekend Beefy! So many of my predictions this week I feel I have so wrong :-(

As long as we do the business this evening and the arse/rags quite possibly getting no more than 1 point each from their respective games, we could start the week ahead sitting 2nd again (albeit by goal difference)!

Very open game this.
2-2 now. Southampton are fast going forward but weak at the back. Spurs aren't that great at the back either.

I've been watching the second half - it looks quite entertaining considering it's importance to the two teams.

I'm watching the Burnley Leicester game, but noticing Liverpool seem rubbish again. Have they given up?

I hope so, because if they did put a run of wins together we'd be in trouble.

Miss a penalty then go score an own goal seconds later, dooming yourself to relegation (probably).

That's gotta hurt.

Burnley miss a penalty and a minute or two later concede an own goal. You have to feel for the fans watching that

Unbelievable scenes. maybe, just maybe Leicester may be able to do the great escape. Long way to go still tho, it's an intriguing relegation battle

Dippers drop two points which makes fourth spot look the worst we'll manage. I don't know what shape the squad will be in after a post season and then the Copa America for the Argies and Fernandinho and then early for a CL Qualifying round. We must get third at least. Come on City!

Liverpool draw. Southampton draw. The opportunity is there for us to put some distance between us.

I'm loving football results so far today.

Fulham just scored to win 4-3 against Boro, meaning Bournemouth will get promoted Monday night if they beat Bolton. Awesome!

Bit of a shame Watford are coming up though.

Also a shame Stoke let me down, I really really want to see Sunderland get relegated this time.
