Juventus had accepted the 80 mil offer for Pogba from PSGd

according to Goal.com

The French champions have made the first move in the race to sign the in-demand midfielder, though the transfer saga is only just beginning with Man City & Chelsea also interested

Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have agreed a £58 million fee for France international Paul Pogba, Goal understands.

The Serie A champions have accepted the mammoth offer for the 22-year-old, who has emerged as a key player at the club since leaving Manchester United in 2012, though there is no guarantee he will swap Turin for his native Paris.

Although PSG have made the first move, personal terms have yet to be agreed while a host of Premier League clubs are primed to rival the French giants.

Both Manchester City and Chelsea have Pogba at the top of their wishlists this summer, and the Frenchman is thought to prefer a return to England and the Premier League.

He is seen as the ideal replacement for Yaya Toure at the Etihad Stadium, one of the many ageing City stars set to be axed in the off-season, while Louis van Gaal would also be willing to spend big to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford.

I think it is just a matter of days now before the transfer will be announced.

If this purported French connection is actually true, it's good to see that PSG are now successfully complying with all FFP requirements.............??

PSG will have money to spend next season, like us. They are getting about 100 mil p.a. from one deal alone & will sell one or two.

If Chelsea are genuinely in for him, he will probably go there due to Mourinho, unless we can convince him we have some other big irons in the fire.

But i only wonder, if Juventus just accepted the offer from PSG, the other clubs must act fast. I really don't believe that PSG acted now and said: "Hei Pogba, take you time, decide in july". No they are putting pressure to sign him now before the season ends to have the upper hand in front of the other teams that are involved.

And setting the "Minimum Bid" price.

I'd hate to see him in the Prem with anyone but us, but if he fucks off to PSG then it's at least like a safety shot in pool.

Cheers

All of the clubs will already be 'acting fast' & will have been doing so 6 months ago. City have probably been in touch since he left Manchester.

He can only sign for one. Doesn't mean the others are just sitting there doing nothing. Mangala was a similar case. We won. Now Txiki gets shit for signing him & some City fans pretend nobody else wanted him. They did. We got him. We might get Pogba, we might not, but we won't be doing any less than anyone else if he's on our list.

FFS! The transfer window is open already !

If it isn't what's all the bollox and nonsense for?

As if anyone on here really knows what's going on!

A waste of bandwidth.

Who cares, we've got Yaya!

£60 million eh?

Obviously no worries with regard to FFP, I wonder if we're in the same boat? Saying that, with Rummenigge's recent comments about 'Looking after the elite clubs', then we may see a change to the rules quite soon.

interesting. because other papers say today that Pogba has no interest in PSG and City and that he's likely headed to Barca.

Why bother coming on here if not to talk about things which may relate to City ? This could.

If he is willing to wait a year, Barca & Real Madrid become favourites to sign him.

You're joking ain't ya, Real will almost certainly appeal the ban at the right time which means they will be all guns blazing to get the players they want. If Pogba is one of them, he will be going there.

In the meantime, UEFA, and Gill, will be restricting us to ensure that the best players can only move between the G14. Amazing how they're now closing ranks and selling the star players between themselves.

They used to call it a 'Closed Shop', seems they ain't letting anybody in.

Barca could just buy him and loan him back to Juve and thus not break their transfer ban

No they couldn't as they are not allowed to sign anybody.

No they can not. They have a ban on transfer activity, which means Transfer activity.
Or does that mean something else in you neck of the woods ?

actually, from what I've read, that's not true. no new signings can be part of the first team is what i've read. thus, buying a player and loaning them back would circumvent this ban.
