All these rumors about the managerial position next year got me thinking, if you could chose ANY (living) manager for next season. Who would it be?

Pep.
He is box office so it would ensure we drew the biggest players.
The only thing is how long he would hang around for, but on that note, there is no one out there that is guaranteed to stay long term...

I wouldn't be sorry to have Pep, but I hope that it's the Count still.

I think that's where I stand, living in eternal hope that he learns from his tactical mistakes and over reliance on certain players

I want the Count with Patrick stepping up into an assistant role alongside Kidd.

Yeah I'd be happy to stock with pellers also. Does anyone doubt that if he brings in a star he won't win trophies again?

I wish Pellegrini did better, but seems like this team needs a father, not a friend if you get what i mean...
We've had alot of trouble with lackluster performances, that tells me they need more hairdryers, not more silent reflection. Pep seems like a Good cop, bad cop duo rolled into one freaky Jekyll/Hide manager, and as mentioned delivers that starpower.
Though it seems there should be a person better suited for the job out there, it's easy to forget people who have been at a club for ages. Is Pep really the best alternative out there, when you consider all living candidates? How about recently retired guys? National team managers etc.?

I think our midfield has gone a bit off the boil as players have aged, but I'm confident that if Yaya is either moved on or a different role is found for him (eg if Nasri goes can he play further forward), good quality new blood could easily see us recapture the form of last season.

that's what, logically, i WANT to want...it'd be best for the club long-term i feel if we've got plans for Patrick.
however, the old cunt keeps tempting fate by doing shit like playing Milner and Lamps today. WTF? Why?
irritating as fucl. And even more irritating that i can find something to bitch about in a 6-nil drubbing, right?
cheers

We won 6-0. I would have wanted to see some kids, but apart from that I can't complain.
At least he left lard arse and Captain used-to-be-Fantastic on the bench.

If Pep was announced tomorrow, the transfer window would be at least 50, possibly 500% better than if any other cunt is in the job. It is a no brainer. Even if he was sacked 6 months later he would probably have greatly improved the situaton. There are decent sources who claim.that the only reason Hazard is at Chelsea is because Guardiola was supposed to be going there.
Option 2 for me, is the Count stays & Pep takes over the following season, or he signs a 5 year deal at Bayern. So long as he doesn't come to another club here.I'm happy emough.
If he shows up over here, at any club with a decent transfer budget, we are really fucking seriously up against it. We automatically drop below them in the pecking order for signing players, including young players.

Pellers moves upstairs for 12 months Paddy in with Pep, start Silva on the same path as Paddy in a couple of years.

Rather random?
I expect the one who'd be most likely to stick around long term would be the captain who has family ties in the area. Of course, it all depends on whether any of them are interested in coaching, with Vince's eloquence I expect he probably has a career in broadcasting if he wants it.

Myonly worry with pelle is that cruising at 5-0 we bring on navas ffs, why cant we give the kids a chance to sample first team football? And does anyone think he will change nextvseason?
i.e bring along some youth? I dont think so.....
i will plump for pep because of his pulling power in the transfer market and he did get youth playing their team at barca
