Rags U21's v City U21s at the Swamp

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Rags U21's v City U21s at the Swamp

Postby Wonderwall » Tue May 12, 2015 10:42 am

I know we have an EDS thread, but I have just found it is being televised on Sky tonight at 6.45! I didn't realise it, so for anyone who isn't going, you can watch the game in glorious HD!

I have no idea what the line up will be but I think there may be a few of the returning loanees involved tonight.

No doubt the rags will have 5 or 6 first teamers in there with Van Pursestrings and Falcao, with Januzai and possibly a few other fringe players

I will be there, so I will guess which ones are Twosips and Ted :-)

I hope its a good (blue) turnout

I shouldn't be too hard to spot WW. Look for the shit hipster with a naff beard and a big grey coat ha.

Though I think I may have to sit amongst the home fans. Pray for me.

I'm easy to spot because I have an enormous orange for a head ( a genie gave me 3 wishes ).

Actually I'm struggling for time, so not being on here right now is probably a good idea.

I saw something the other day about the rags making this free entrance (presumably to their own ST holders?)

I guess the rags will get to see the new secret weapon that is Kelechi playing?

Paul Lake currently with the Sky presenter at the swamp - some goon from the rag camp alongside him.

Vieira interviewed also. Quite a few U17s & U18s in the squad. It'll be interesting to see how they fair.

Bugger. Good chance just missed by our lad, blazing over as well. Still look better than the rags though in possession of the football

Who's the lad on the right wing? He's a bit quick, isn't he.

Hiwula, just got back from a loan spell at Walsall (where they seemed to like him a lot)

Aaron Nemane. Hiwula is the striker.

Goal looked offside from this stupid fucking angle. If I'd realised I'd be sat in the corner of this fucking shithole, I wouldn't have bothered. Barely seen anyhing as 21 players are in the other half.

Wankers.

I feel morally superior watching this game. I feel even more superior when I hear the commentators describing the United as a good unit. Yeah, if this was a game between a top team in the PL and a relegation candidate whose only option it is to sit back and wait for opportunities to counter attack. But it's not. This is the development team of one of the top teams in the PL and all they have to show for it is a gameplan that would make Pulis proud. Nothing wrong with that though as you do what you have to do, just thought they aimed higher.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
