Am I being greedy or just off my rocker?

Postby foreverblue » Wed May 13, 2015 8:41 pm

I'm looking forward to a proper cull from the squad but NOT Yaya. I would love it if come 1st July we had signed Pogba, Vidal, Sterling, Berahino, Stones and Cresswell. And we had happily said goodbye to Dzeko, Nasri, Jovetic, Kolarov, Milner, Wright, Boyata, Sinclair and Guidetti. And promoted Denayer and Iheanacho.

Of course none of this is likely. Just like us playing 4-2-3-1 for the season rather than 4-4-2.

Anyone got and better ideas?

I cannot wait for him to fuck off.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Newcomers to the PL usually require a settling in period, between 6 months and a year. I agree there is likely be a large number of squad changes this summer, but I would prefer evolution, rather than revolution.

Ideally, ease say 2-3 quality newcomers each year, not change over half the squad "overnight". I would prefer a better manager, who may be able to inspire and motivate some of those quality players, who would otherwise be sold off "on the cheap".

It seems increasingly common, with player purchases, for us to buy high and sell low!

Not quite unanimous but I am clearly unhinged!

I just want to see what Yaya is like with a summer off and then no defensive duties as part of a rejigged formation. I have to be honest I couldn't care less about his salary cos its all monopoly money compared to my own paypacket.

Also the Cresswell I was referring to is Aaron Cresswell for left back,

Still want Vidal though. We lack mohawks in the starting line-up. De Bruyne just doesn't cut it for me.

A proper 'cull' would be too disruptive in my opinion, we should change about three players over the next few windows.

I don't believe we actually really play 4-4-2 in the classical sense. So, there's that.

Cheers

More like 4-2-4 when Nasri and SIlva both play.

Vidal, apparently wouldn't pass a medical. It's highly unlikely he will ever change hands for big money now

I want Yaya to stay. No Afcon and a summer off will make him a better bet next year. Still one of our best players who can control a game. I don't want some other club getting all that benefit and us giving it away for no reason. The blame for this season lies elsewhere.
I'm not sure about the rest of the list in its entirety, but Nasri must go and Dzeko definitely.

I know which Cresswell, I was just shocked.

I was very underwhelmed by DeBruyne in his few games at Chelsea but watching him at times this season, he really does have a talent for doing certain things which so many City players don't excel at, one of which is putting a ball in. He is very direct (again unlike City) & consequently doesn't hold the ball as well as we do, but he fires in a tremendous amount of ball & if we could wake up a few players to try & get on the end of things, he could be the player which gives us that extra ingredient to unlock teams. And he SHOOTS. As well as being quite fast & scores goals. I wasn't in favour of this, but I've strongly changed my mind. I'd also be happy with Pogba. Just don't think he's Yaya, so would be happy to keep Yaya if he is played in a diffrrent position.

On a related note how great would a paddy v, yaya and pogba training session be. We'd have in my opinion the two best powerful midfield forces of recent memory and the one many see as the next/current.

Seriously tho I would love pogba and yaya tho it's very unlikely. If bale is a possibility of also be over the moon.
