In talks with Celtic, hope it's a permanent deal for him and the club, he would do well there could kick start his career. Didnt realize he was 24, time to move on.

Like able pro though, wish him the best.

Has one of the best football chants ever. Good luck to the lad.

I hope they adopt his chant - it's a good move for him I think. It could also imply Denayer will be a first team player next season for us.

Boyata to Crktic and Denayer to replace him in the City squad looks a good move for all.

Is there a fee involved? Don't just want to give the boy away. Good luck to him if he goes

I would reckon he's gotta be worth at least 5 million - he's only just signed a contract and he's not a bad defender - he's not top 4 premier league standard, granted, but that doesn't mean we should just give him away, especially as he makes up part of our homegrown quota

Especially if he is there to replace van Dijk who I think they want in excess of £10m for. A solid defender and in this day and age £5m is not an unreasonable shout

Surely it's a straight swap for Denayer?

I think it's a free with a sell on clause but could be wrong.

A straight swap for one of our own players?
Him leaving on a free?

Get off the crack pipe people. FFS.

Cheers

On current form, he probably about the same or better than Kompany, and based on yesterday's game the Mangaler.

I've been watching Denayer closely whilst he's been up here and he's ready to be in our first team squad. I really think he could have been utilised this season but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Denayer has had a brilliant partnership with Virgil Van Dyke who looks an absolute star in the making. Given Celtic and City's close links these days I really hope we have 1st option. He'll be playing for a top a EPL side next year and probably could be purchased for 10 million. Imo he'd walk into Arsenal, Liverpool and Uniteds centre half position.

Denayer has done very well but he was playing in the SPL. Deserves his chance with us next season and I hope he gets it.
