Appalling signing, for so many reasons. When people talk about City ruining players careers, that's the poster boy right there. Signed by a manager who had no intention whatsoever in playing him.

I wish the lad well

Awful signing. Putting into some context, his £6m fee plus wages probably cost every season ticket holder £150 a year whilst he was here.

Anyhow, wish him well

It was a strange one from the start. The deal was clearly done if we wanted him, but nothing signed, as we were obviously trying to grab somebody else instead, so he & Swansea just sat waiting then 'ok we'll sign him then'.

He was signed by Marwood wasn't he?

Nice idea at the time, Mancini started him for the first game available but nothing ever came of it.

I remember watching volley/crossing training video's where he couldnt hit the target time and time again.

Good business by the club to move him on and avoid a lengthy stale EDS rotting season.

He got a game in the EDS initially, but what struck me right then, was that he looked absolutely no better, in any aspect, than some of the other EDS players, & that was in a team which was vastly inferior to the one we have now.

Which suggests to me that, if he can play Premier League football, then some of these kids could right now, IF they had been given the chance to get used to it.

That of course, is for another thread.

But we should never again be signing players like that. Sterling is the kind of level we should always be looking at as a bottom line, if we are signing 'homegrown' imo (or if there is a genuine young talent we could find, of course, which Sinclair clearly wasn't).

I have to say, I'm completely in the dark about this barring I fully expect Jovetic to go. It looks bad for Dzeko, unless he is carrying an injury, as it seems to be Bony is the first cab off the rank every time.

But, Yaya, Milner, Nasri, Kolarov ? Loads of talk but still, it wouldn't surprise me if all went, or if none went.

RE Kolarov , it is a huge surprise his form has picked up dramatically the last 6 or 7 games , he has played very well , Spurs away was possibly his best ever game for us . If he maintains that level of form he can stay for me just for his shooting ability !

Be very surprising if dzeko or jovetic are both here next season, both of them are not needed.
Whether the others are moved on or not surely will depend upon who their replacements are, if available.
