Ted's non ffp transfer fiesta

So who is on the horizon now then, if ffp is genuinely relaxed & the sheikh fancies a splurge, what would the revised targets be ? If there are any revisions ?

Everyone still fancy the same players or does this put a completely different, bigger, fatter cat amongst the pigeons ?

I'm in for a slice of Bale now as mentioned elsewhere, but I think I'll have a Pogba & Koke to go with it.

Plus Sterling, Arjen Robben, two fullbacks & Shay Given.

Off the top of my head.

What say you ?

Out btw: Nasri, Jovetic, Dzeko, Yaya, Sagna, Caballero, Lampard, Boyata, Milner if no option & one of Clichy/Kolarov.

Recent games have convinced me we will still keep our football style without them.

Messi £150m - just the one transfer, would seriously fuck everyone off :-)

Judging by Barca's recent games & how much they need him, I think double that would be required.

in fact the pound is that strong, it makes it €419m

Lets bid €250m which is £178m

I recon the Sheikh would go for it if he thought there was any chance of success. But Messi himself looks happy again now.

Just an amendment to my list above; if we did manage to sign Robben, Sterling & Bale, then Navas could go, but Yaya could stay, if he wanted.

Bale , Sterling , Reus in and a sneaky bid for Southampton full back Bertrand and Benteke from Villa would do for me . Out Dzeko , Nasri , Yaya , Jovetic ,Sagna , Lampard and unfortunately Milner but fuck him if he doesn't want to stay !

Lionel Messi = £200M

Extra City shirts in China and the far east = 30M

Profit = 30M x £10 (approx) = £300M

It's a no brainer. (assuming my assumptions of course!)

That would be a bit of a leap of faith

United and Real Madrid sell the most shirts, averaging about 1.4m each per year according to this article in 2012. If any extra do get shifted in China, you can bet your house the club and manufacturer don't see a penny from it.

How Adidas can afford to pay $100m a year to United is beyond me.

How many English do we need? That must play a part in deciding. Bale and Stones ( need a centre half) for starters and I would keep Yaya and Nasri.
Out - Dzeko, Jovetic boyata, Lamps and Milner and Sagna. It will be difficult to find a club that will pay Jovetic's wages.

Probably just a daft question really but, if FFP is being 'relaxed' and, as a follow-on, this impacts upon our domesticated version as well, would all existing EUFA cum FA cum Premiership requirements/restrictions for fielding 'homegrown' players also go out of the window ??

Is that shirts only? Think about all those full kit wankers.

He would be one of my top picks, Garay would not be too bad either. Despite all this talk of bale, sterling etc etc, i think we need to take a good look at the back 4 first!!!

I don't know what the deuce I was thinking of there.

I'm only really interested in forwards and attacking midfielders and yet there I go suggesting a couple of centre-backs for our team.

I must be ill and probably need to have a lie down.

Pogba
Sterling
Clyne
Stones
Reus
De Bruyne

And a new left back..... god knows who. The dream would be Alba.
