City v Southampton on Sunday

City v Southampton on Sunday

So. Last game of the season.

We're safe in second. Do you try end on a real high note and play a winning team or do you mix it up a little and maybe give a kid or two a go? Do you bring Vinnie back in for the last game at home, seeing as he's club captain?

Bear in mind the EDS have a big game on Saturday. Their last game of the season, a derby with the rags, in what is likely to be a full house at the minihad. We got beat 4-0 by them last time so could be a good chance for revenge. But also never a better chance to play some kids in a first team game wiht no pressure.

What do you reckon?

Despite me wanting to mix things up, I think we have a responsibility to the league to play a competetive side as our result affects European qualification.

I'd be happy to start with a full strength side and have a weaker bench though on the assumption we get a couple of goals up and can take our foot off the gas.

I think the kids look tired & it wouldn't especially be the best time, but if a couple were on the bench, they could come on later.

I'd give the Georges a half each just so they can lay claim to having played for City at every level.

We can play a good EDS team and still have a couple of lads on the bench for us. However, it wont happen, its not Pellegrini's MO. We ahve a fully fit squad minus Nasri, I just hope he doesnt put Kompany back in the starting 11.

Southampton will be well up for this, so playing a bunch of kids without Prem experience may do more harm than good to them if we're on the end of a hammering.

Maybe make 3 or 4 changes, and put Gunn on the bench if he's not playing earlier, along with a couple of other EDS players.

I'd like to see Iheanacho, Angelino and possibly Barker in the squad. 2nd place is guaranteed so what better time than to give them a chance when there's no pressure on?

I want us to win every single game and it style. This game is no different. 6 on the bounce takes us into next season...

Totally agree, would be nice to blood some kids if the game is safe to help the carnival atmosphere for the 30 people who are staying for the end of season parade.

Although I'm arguing against starting any kids, some of you are assuming that the usual suspects are going to go out all guns blazing now 2nd place is assured.

These are the same players who were picked v Newcastle & Sheffield Wed & Boro in the cups, for the very same reason.

Most of them 30 aren't staying for the parade, they're waiting behind to pick a fight with Kolarov ( from a safe distance ).

Well if he doesn't give some of them a run out on Sunday he better bloody well do so in the cups next season. We'll never know if they're ready to step up unless we play them and from the games I have seen it would be very disappointing if they don't make it with us

Eggsackly. Way more likely to get kids excited to man their stations than some of these old farts with one eye on blowjobs, Bellinis and beaches.

Cheers

Agree ^ I think our first teamers will be on holiday mode and this is a rare nothing game and getting the debut for a few out of the way while it doesn't matter is entirely logical.

I'd have maybe one or two starting and a couple on the bench. Maffeo definitely. Maybe Jack Byrne too actually. Fiery little sod and in decent form at the moment for the EDS. Then any two of Barker, Angelino, Gunn, Kelechi, Glendon on the bench for a late run out.

don't worry, if we're up 2-0 at halftime Pellegrini will wait until the 88th minute to bring on some kids.
