City Store - Sale (Bargains....NOT)

Have our club lost touch with any semblance of sanity? they are splashing a SALE with up to 60% off all over the site, when you go in there , its pretty poor, they are still selling the 2013/14 shirt and are advertising it as a great deal, now only £30.86! Reduce from £103.51!! for a shirt that is almost two seasons old?!!

I think someone has been on the glue!

I used to order 3-4 times a season from our shop, it's gone down hill steadily for about 3 years now, with the last straw for me when they made it country specific a year or so back meaning I now pay more than you lot as it costs more over here.

Add in their shit policy of not offering a replacement for out of stock items and piss poor replies when you have an issue and it's just jt worth the hassle. This nike kits aren't a patch on Umbro wither.

Am I looking at the same 13/14 shirt? It's £24.31 from £35.30 for me.

exactly...i've bought two training tops and this years away kit since the Nike takeover. I used to probably spend a few hundred a year on shit, esp. as i'm far flung wearing some City shit is always fucking awesome on matchday...in my living room. Ahem.

Anyway, this Nike stuff is poor, and disappointing. If i see something i like in a local store, which has all the stuff you could want now which is the upside i guess, then i'll consider buying it, but i'm not that arsed. Which is sad really. With the Umbro stuff i felt we honestly had some of the nicest gear on the planet. Adidas and Puma are so far ahead of the game it isn't even funny.

cheers

Incidentally, has our partnership with the retro shirt company ended? Just noticed their ad is no longer at the top.

Like others since Nike took over, I've only bought one shirt, this year's away top. I tend to buy polo shirts now (non Nike) and sweat shirts.

Also had a couple of older polo shirts from m and m direct, which I guess they buy from the club when they change range, cost summat like £7 or £8 for genuine merchandise.

In fact here you go http://www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/M ... -Blue-Navy

Maybe the code for your location is fucked. Was looking at the short sleeved one originally, but here's the LS.

I can't remember the last time I made a purchase online through the city store it makes no sense that sports direct for example are selling City merchandise far cheaper than the clubs official shop.

I have no sympathy with Americans paying over the odds when I get charged regional pricing by US suppliers almost daily - even digital distributers where I am using the same server as a US (or rest of the world) customer for my download. We don't even get lumped in with Europe in the UK thanks to our own currency, and everyone and his dog marks our price up.

Beats the £50+ (honestly cannot/don't want remember exactly how much it was) from the club shop when it came out :-(

But it's my favourite in a while and doubt I'll bother again, well not for a few years.

It costs me a fortune getting our lads Joe Hart shirts as he's ever growing and GK shirts generally don't make the end of season sale, or if they it's only in fat fuclers sizes

your first mistake was buying him a joe hart shirt.

I still wear the 3rd kit shirt from the first title winning season. It is dark navy blue one, looks MINT. See no reason to buy any others, none since have come close to it.

If that's the one that was reused from the year prior, Umbro navy one then I agree. Was the best I can recall. That said there were a few good ones on the bounce, the 1st 3 of the Umbro lot were great. Simple yet beautiful.

Only ever bought retro kit from the shop and haven't done any online bookings. Thinking of getting a couple of golf shirts, is it easy to get stuff delivered abroad?
