Sadly, other than Yaw Yaw, no City players in that lot. I wonder if we'll regret letting Suarez go? I can't remember why he didn't sign a new deal, but he was the Lopes before Lopes was Lopes. What happened with him again? Dougie Fresh or Teddy Bear have an answer, on a postcard, per favore.

We have about 20 players better than Suarez was at the same age.

Only seen a few minutes of Yeboah but he looks like a possible genuine prospect to me rather than some of the African lads we have signed & loaned out.

I think maybe we are more serious anout him than the lads in Norway etc.

I watched him for the Ghana under 20's. The first game in Wellington in the flesh vs Argentina. He is tiny but my god his speed and acceleration was easily the fastest on show. He has a cracking left foot but tended to drift in and out of the game. Unsure of him but you can't teach speed I guess.

Well that's what made me take notice, he seems to have stuff about him that you can't train; pace, skill, trickery & a bit of a hammer for a shot.

If such a player can get on the same wavelength as our first team players, then he must have a chance. Nawakali also showed a lot of ability & intelligence when he got on the pitch for Nigeria today. I think he may also be a serious signing rather than just a player to be sold on.

Of course it's unlikely we will see either at City for at least two years, but if they do well elsewhere, we may find they both turn up with European passports.

Suarez wanted to go back to Spain, Barca B came calling, and it was only a matter of time. Similar to Joan Roman if you remember him. If i recall correctly Suarez was just sold to Sevilla, which ended up giving us a bit of a sell on fee - 870k according to City Watch.

Not unless the player has an aptitude for it, no. Otherwise, with the money in football today, there would be 1000s of Lionel Messis all over the place rather than what we actually get by manufacturing players, which is Danny Wellbeck.
