There is harmless self belief, misplaced confidence, delusion and then there is Moyes.

Of course you can manage any team in the world. Anybody can. But my record at Sunderland and Real Sociedad probably means I am more welcome at those clubs than you would be. Have to admit I would probably have overseen a greater decline at the rags than you did but even trying to put them into administration I doubt I could do a worse job on the pitch than you did.

Better to shut your gob and get yer head down. When the West Ham fans are singing "we've got Moysiola" you know you are doing ok.

Bergkamp ? Another example of the old rule that brilliant players rarely succeed as managers.

Sevilla sack head coach Eduardo Berizzo a week after return from cancer surgery

Is that just because Sevilla have taken only one point from their past three La Liga games and have dropped to fifth in the table?

Cruel.

Gary Monk leaves Middlesboro after less than six months in charge. They won today and aren't far off the play offs. Appalling.

And now Sheffield Wednesday part company with Carlos Carvalhal after two and a half years in charge. Can't have been many times in the history of the game both managers leave their jobs after a fixture between the respective clubs, especially mid season

Glasers have put Jose's contract extension on ice.

If he stays, he makes them worse ; if he walks - they have to reset and start rebuilding again , and who can they get in ? Either way it's win/win.

There are some sceptical souls NB, who might say this is becoming a habit with Monk.
