There are a few interesting names to pick from. Favre for example or Jorge Jesus.

What did they sack the fat lad for. I mean it's Everton, they haven't been good since 1985.

Harsh but fair. One of the best english teama I'd seen. Up there with Forest
Shame that their city neighbours got us kicked out of europe as they could have gone on to pick up the big one given the opportunity

.
It's simple...Teams don't get relegated, clubs do, and behind most failing clubs, particularly the larger or richerones, there is a failing hierarchy.
You'll never see a failing CEO sacking himself, players have values so they are company assets, leaving only the manager on the chopping block.

Finance is another reason. A coach knows what he needs but the club can either not afford to strengthen (often because of poor financial managementat the top) or the CEO has to dole out the profits to shareholders.

The media play their role. They sensationalise the situation, the fans react to the reportage and demand a sacking, the Board want to keep the fans onside, so out he goes.

Then of course there are just shite coaches.

More importantly, their run in Europe would have brought in much bigger income allowing them to strengthen and possiblt spiral upwards

Agree which is why I said it was a shame. They were some team at that point and would have taken on europe imo as well as then further dominating at home wirh the resultant revenue

They did yes.
To be honest, under him they played their best football in the last decade, but why go back to someone you sent packing?
There are options out there.

You then look at the imbecile they have for an owner and the fact barely 6 months ago he thought Benitez was the man to make Everton successful and nothing would surprise you.

They are a car crash club these days and I very much doubt the new stadium is gonna change anything

The spanish waiter was sacked because he is greedy.

He had a reasonable job beforehand and he knows Everton are the pits at the moment.
Once again a manager has taken on a job knowing he has no chance
of doing anything.
Just like BFS, he was only in there for the payoff.
Everybody knows Everton are spewing out money for years look at what Ronald did to them.
It's time they went down.
"Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs."

Before him they had Wilmots, another clueless one.
The main reason, IMHO, is why that amazing generation won fuck all.
