Looked like a man who has given up today on the touchline. And the players look like are ready to give up on him. Not a good combination

If Lester sacks Ranieri in the next week or two they'll stay up. Hopefully, they'll show more loyalty to him.

Its a real tricky one, despite what they have said.

They'll stick with him. I know people who know a bit of the inside workings of Leicester. The latest is that the club were simply not geared for winning the league, quite a laughable excuse. But it's the line, apparently. I'm not even sure what it means.

They must have someone lined up, strange timing after a decent result last night

Mixed feelings about this one.

One side says he should have been given the freedom of Leicester after last season and he could take them down to the Conference and have enough in the bank to still be their manager. After all, it was the biggest fairy tale story ever in modern football, certainly in this country, if not Europe.

The other side is football is big business and the owners of Leicester are no different to anyone else. Leicester look bereft of confidence and ideas in the PL and relegation would hurt them very badly. Obviously no one expected them to repeat their success of last season, or possibly even finish top six. But no one associated with Leicester would have imagined they would be relegated, which looks likely at the moment. Taking action now might just preserve their PL status.

Overall, especially given last nights result, I think the timing of this decision is strange and I feel sorry for Ranieri. Can understand the reasons for it but, for me, he deserved more after last seasons exploits

Well, one of those foreign managers is out of Giggs' way. Would love it if he got the job AND they still went down

Replace a manager not popular with his players with one wildly known for the exact problem?

I think it was last week, or the one before, that he got the dreaded vote of confidence from the Board, so I suppose it was always coming.

However, I wonder if the media will rip Leicester to shreds over this ??

More proof that no loyalty exists in modern day football. Ranieri deserves so much better than this after what he has achieved for Leicester. It's almost unbelievable you'd swear they had been trotting around Europe winning things for years and years, they are blessed they won anything and won't win another major trophy in God knows how long. What he did was nothing short of a miracle.

He did well last year and has done shit this year.

Everybody has targets and in my job if I'd done well last year, but shit this year I'd have got the sack as well, and not got an £xm payoff. Why is it some think these multimillionaire mangers deserve more grace based on past successes?

My heart bleeds. Don't get sucked in by the bullshit from the likes of Lineker who is also paid above and beyond what's reasonable. The guy was so fucking confident he said he'd wear his pants on TV should Leicester /Ranieri succeed. Was funny at the time but hardly a vote of confidence.

Fucking reality check.
